Since our BetterBidding Travel Advice Wiki has a "Things To Do" category, we're happy to announce a CONTEST to win a $100 Gift Certificate to VIATOR, a leading supplier of tours, activities, events, and things to do while on vacation.

To enter the contest, simply add a reply to the VIATOR CONTEST thread with two items of information:

1) your most favorite specific activity you have done on vacation (ie- "ate breakfast in bed doesn't count"... "went to Disneyworld" or "did the Hollywood Walk of Fame Tour" are acceptable)

2) the most interesting activity you would like to try (and which you could potentially use the gift certificate for) from Viator website

The contest will end 12/31/07 and shortly thereafter we will pick a winner at random from those who have entered the required information in the Contest Thread. (usual disclaimers apply: we reserve the right to edit, change, terminate the contest rules at any time, etc, etc)

2. Go to San Simeon - Hearst Castle. I'm now 2 days too late, since the California fires burned it down :) . Will have to alter my choice and pick the Sydney Harbour Bridge walk.

2. Have been wanting to visit NYC for years--would love to see Curtains on broadway.

1. My husband and I did a self-supported bicycle tour from Amsterdam to Munster Germany.

2. Since we are going to Australia next year (without our bikes), the Sydney Cycling Tour sounds good.

(BTW: We live fairly close to San Simeon and I have not heard any news of Heart Castle burning down. There have been no fires in San Luis Obispo county.)

1. Last year we took a tour of Ocho Rios Jamacia. We climbed the falls and we were able to tube the White River.

2. Learn how to snorkle or scuba dive and then take a diving trip in the Caribbean.

Thanks for the correction. Our newscasts on Tenerife either brought the wrong information or my husband understood it wrong. I had already had the good news that we still have lots of chances to see it (thanks to a fellow poster on cruisecritic), but it was too late to edit my original post here. :)

1) Missed the last bus and hitchhiked along the Amalfi Coast. (Disclaimer: I was young and stupid, and way too close to Naples! I wouldn't trade it, but I would never encourage another woman to try the same thing!)

2) Would love to take a cooking class in Thailand!

2. I would like to visit the Jack Daniel's distillery in Nashville TN.

1) At Vatican City in Italy, we took a Scavi tour to see Peter's actual burial site beneath St. Peter's basillica! Awesome!

2. I would love to do the Hula at a luau at Paradise Cove in Hawaii.

I walked on the metal roof of a church in Quito, Ecuador in order to see the restorations. I would not do it again but I'm glad I did it when I was young and foolish, and much more agile.
