This stay is not until Oct 07. kwatland you said in another post that you needed two beds? If that is the case there is a chance that on this deal that everyone has been getting through PL, that you could get a room with one bed. What would you do then,take turns sleeping on the floor? I don't think you will have a problem getting two beds but there is always that chance.

$18 per day for a full size in Maui is a pretty good deal. I don't think I have ever done better then that. Do you remember how much Hotwire wanted?

If you will be renting a car book something that you can cancel and keep low balling priceline. Oct is a good month to get cheap cars on Maui,don't get worried and bid too much too fast. Unless you are flying into JHM in witch case PL won't do you any good.

Instead of puting SD in the search put in La Jolla. Just so you know a lot of hotels in these zones are not on the water but a short drive away.

Yes it is the talked about counter offer. If you have free rebids left you can usualy get the room for about half of the offer.

Scottsdale only offers up to resort level for the dates I checked. What hotel are you looking at and what dates?

Theres a chance it could be the Hyatt Islandia. It just went through a $60 million dollar remodel and has been a 3.5 in the past.

I bid 10/11/07-10/17/07 @ $115 with no counter offer. I then bid Oct 11-16th @$115 and got a counter offer to add $22 so I know you can get 11th-16th at least for $125-$130 per night. Please let us know how it goes.

I would bid the Maui part right away. I would bid the Ka'anapali zone at a starting bid of $125 for resort level. I think you have a good chance of getting the Westin at $125. Waikiki is nice as long as you are right on the beach other wise its just another big city with a lot of traffic and noise. Let us know how that goes and then we'll take it from there. Do you have some dates?

There is a fee of about $30 to get a room with two beds and they might also want $$ if you tell them there will be more then two staying in the room. That said all the rooms have a pullout sofa. I have never had a problem with four people as the rooms are large but I never ask for four keys at checkin. I go down later and tell them I left mine in the room.

You can use HOTWIRE and select 2 adults and two children.

The Hyatt in Maui has no time shares.

I think PL and HOTWIRE will have rooms after the room blocks are released. Its just a question of when.
