Some thoughts:
4* The Strip - Central East (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $80/nite with:
Pets Allowed
Fitness Center
Business Center
Casino
Restaurant
No Smoking Rooms/Facilities
Indoor or Outdoor Pool
==> Bally's Las Vegas, which although not the best hotel on the Strip (thus the 4 star rating) most of the standard rooms here have been recently renovated and it has a solid location in the middle of the strip. The casino (which you have to walk thru to get to your room) is still a bit smokey/dingy, but otherwise this is a pretty good value at this price, imo.
4.5* The Strip - Northwest (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $91/nite with:
Pets Allowed
Fitness Center
Business Center
Casino
Restaurant
No Smoking Rooms/Facilities
Indoor or Outdoor Pool
==> The Mirage which is 'classic' Vegas and has a beautiful pool area, if that is what is most important to you
ONE OTHER OPTION is if you're willing to split your stay you could then stay at a 5 star hotel (Palazzo or Cosmopolitan) for about $100/nite for the first 2 nites of your stay, and then for the last 3 nites do something like Ballys ($115/nite) or Mirage ($118/nite)... to give you an average cost of about $110/nite (upside is that you get a really nice hotel like Palazzo/Cosmopolitan for part of your stay and still something 'very good' for the balance, as well as being able to try two different properties... downside is that you have to change hotels mid-trip)
If you wanted to try Bidding for a Hotel Room (use this link for the easiest/quickest access to the bidding page) you could do so in an attempt to beat any of the prices above, but you then lose the ability to choose/guess as to which specific property it is that you will likely end up with.
