iahphx Posted February 26, 2003 Report Posted February 26, 2003 Yeah, I didn't post the link because I suspected it was a one-time use. This is interesting as we haven't seen any bonus money in many months. And 10 bucks a night is fairly generous.I guess it pays to be on their mailing list -- even though you get a fair amount of worthless junk.
bturner13 Posted February 26, 2003 Report Posted February 26, 2003 Priceline HK (Hong Kong), www.priceline.com.hk/ has a limited-time Scratch Bonus money offer happening now til the end of April 03. Yes, the offers are good on hotels in our good olde USA! I've use them and they work! They pay for the PL fees and some of the taxes!Enjoy!

jcarter Posted March 1, 2003 Report Posted March 1, 2003 pitflyer,I used the last bonus money, thanks. Rebid @ $65. As evidenced by the taxes it looks like I should have bid $61. Oh well. Thanks again for the bonus!John PS: Found you guys via FlyerTalk, good site.

pitflyer Posted March 2, 2003 Report Posted March 2, 2003 Glad you folks found good use for them. Sorry for jumping the gun there on the post; appreciate the details. I'm sure it'd be best if you can also post them in the right forum (if you haven't already). Have a good day!

thereuare Posted March 2, 2003 Report Posted March 2, 2003 All of the links have now expired. For the next promotion/bonus money offer, we'll start a new topic in this same area so that users don't need to scroll thru all of the above to get to it.I would like to thank everyone for their generosity in posting links they weren't going to use. We're buidling a nice community here, and it makes me feel good to see the goal of the board coming to fruition... "users helping users." Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
iceeu2again Posted March 5, 2003 Report Posted March 5, 2003 :) Please explain to me how the bonus money works and how you all got it. Thanks
bturner13 Posted March 5, 2003 Report Posted March 5, 2003 The only Bonus money I am aware of right now (March 03) is on the PL/HK site. But it expires soon. Go to the site and you can follow the easy steps to Hong Kong $. Remember, there are 7.8 HK$ to 1 US$.
BurBunny Posted March 5, 2003 Author Report Posted March 5, 2003 The $10 bonus money many of us received came from being registered with Priceline. We were emailed the offer. How it worked was if you wanted to bid $75 on a property, you'd actually make a bid of $65, and Priceline would add $10 a night to your bid, making it really $75. Priceline does this from time to time. Register at Priceline, and keep watching here :)
thereuare Posted March 5, 2003 Report Posted March 5, 2003 I will add that in the email that Priceline sent, there was a link that you clicked on that took you to a 'special' Hotel Bidding screen. This special screen indicated that they would add $10 to the price you bid. For those of us that weren't going to use it, we put the link in a post here so that others could use it. The link contains a code that makes it unique, and that's how Priceline knows if it's been used already or not (it can only be used for one successful bid... if you place a bid and the bid is rejected, the bonus money will apply for the next bid placed thru that link).Hope that explains it better. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
nilknarf Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 The only Bonus money I am aware of right now (March 03) is on the PL/HK site. But it expires soon. Go to the site and you can follow the easy steps to Hong Kong $. Remember, there are 7.8 HK$ to 1 US$. Hmm...I did this and was told that the bonus $ would be refunded "after verification". 45 days later.....still no refund. Anyone else get their bonus money credit?
WillTravel Posted April 22, 2003 Report Posted April 22, 2003 Nilknarf, I've posted elsewhere that Priceline HK told me by email that I would get a credit within 30 days after April 15 (the end of that particular promotion). Have you tried emailing Customer Service?
