I noticed the Squamish zone, which shows up when you select Whistler, British Columbia, is greyed out. I don't think there are any results for this zone and generally people wouldn't want to stay there, but it was useful as a rebid zone for 3* and higher in Whistler.

Thereuare...because I am addicted, I have continued to check my dates on Hotwire 3/14 to 3/16 even though I am completely happen with my purchase of The Caribe.

Anyway, the 5* resort with all the amenities shown on your identifiable hotel list has now changed to a 4.5*. When I looked up "vacation packages" on hotwire the El San Juan now shows as a 4.5*.

I discovered two more ORLANDO hotels based on VACATION PACKAGES:

2.5 star WDW Orlando: Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Laundry

LA QUINTA LAKESIDE

2 star Universal and Sea World Orlando: Pool, Breakfast

LA QUINTA ORLANDO INTERNATIONAL DRIVE

THANKS!

The La Quinta Lakeside has been reported above, but the other one has not and i will add it to the list now.

Thank you for helping out. I wouldn't be able to maintain the lists as i do without the help and support of members like you.

I was looking into the suggestion of checking hotel vacations on Priceline to see if it could determine what hotels I might get if I bid on Priceline just for a hotel and saw that the Rio was listed as a 4*.

I thought that the Rio was a 3* on Priceline? Am I imagining this?? Or has the * level just changed? I checked the West of Strip area on Priceline and it now shows a 4* hotel, where I think this used to be a free rebid for 4 *.

We have it listed in the Pinned hotel lists as a 3* also. I know that the 4* could possibly be the Palms but with the Rio showing up as a Vacation package and being listed there as 4* I think the Rio has been upgraded.

Here are some Boston hotel notes:

The Swissotel is no more so it can be removed from the above lists. It was taken over by Hyatt, which is already on the list.

The 3.5* Tremont Boston - A Wyndham Historic Hotel is definitely in the Boston Common - Theatre District zone as it is on the same street as the Wang. http://static.hotwire.com/web/static/image...mmonTheatre.gif

The 4* Boston Doubletree Hotels Boston (my posted bid) would also be in the Boston Common - Theatre District zone.

Also, the 3* Radisson Hotel Boston would be in the Boston Common - Theatre District zone as it is at the intersection of Stuart and Charles.

The 4* Omni Parker House would be in Quincy Market - Financial District as School St is inbetween State St and Milk St. http://static.hotwire.com/web/static/image...ktFinancial.gif

Sorry, no. I made that bid way before this Board was made.

Are you going to remove the "BELIEVED TO BE" text in the Boston hotel lists? I went through and compared maps carefully, and Hotwire's specific zone maps are quite clear.

I will since you requested it and went thru the trouble of looking it all up :)

Actually in the lists i've created from the VP i haven't 'zoned' them since they're unconfirmed with actual purchases (this one was contributed by another board member), but i'll take care of taking out the extra wording as per your request.

Thank you again for your effort and 'cleaning' things up a bit.

While just researching Hotwire's vacation package, I noticed the Omni has been downgraded from 5 stars to 4.5. This is very disappointing as the 4.5* Park Hyatt is in the same zone and has identical amenity icons. Although both are very superior hotels, you can no longer "target" either one.

I just realized, as I posted a winning bid, that the TOP Hotel Alsterhof in Berlin's Tiergarten zone isn't listed as a possible hotel on the Hotel List... I have yet another one to add that I have won on two previous bids: Park Plaza Hotel - also in the "East" zone. Website: http://www.parkplaza.com/hoteldirectory/ho...D03210403220410

A Seattle zone that used to be called something like North Seattle - University District (not sure if that's the exact name) is now called Seattle University - Northgate. I don't know if the map of the zone is different. I haven't heard of anyone winning a bid there in any event.

Just an update to my previous post regarding the Omni & Park Hyatt in San Francisco now being the same star level and having equal amenity icon displays......

Unfortunately, for the sake of identification, both are Customer Favorite hotels! However, if you read customer comments and see remarks about rooms with balconies, you'll know it's the Park Hyatt. The Omni has no balconies whatsoever. Below is an example....

Thank you for making our stay at this hotel possible. We had the most marvelous time. The room was very nice with beautiful furniture and an outstanding CD system. Our room was on the twentieth floor and had a wonderful balcony patio with a fabulous view of the bay, with lighted boats at night, and the bay bridge -- very romantic. The bed was comfortable and we both had a good nights sleep and the staff was very courteous. I just loved this hotel with its central location.
