  1. Yes it is listed as customer favorite. If you would like a full review of hotel let me know where to post it
  2. The White House - Capitol Hill This hotel features the following amenities: Restaurant(s) At least one restaurant is located on the hotel premises. Pool(s) Hotel features at least one pool area. (Note: This amenity offering may be seasonal. Please check hours/availability directly with the hotel.) Fitness Center Hotel features exercise equipment. Business Center Hotel offers guests access to business equipment/services. Tennis Nearby Tennis court(s) within walking distance or a short drive from the hotel. Cut and pasted it for you. AND I think it is a Customers favorite too!
  3. Understand But I was upset to get charged more than AAA. AAA is more than priceline or hotwire in most cases. What bothered me the most was the RUDE people at Hotwire. Why tell me to go do the Double the difference after I tell the the hotel offered me a lower AAA rate. They knew I would be wasting time I did not have. That's the point. Anyway please add the hotel to your list with the WARNING to call hotel first to ask for rates, before they book hotwire. Don't want to see anyone else get burned.
  4. Grand Hyatt Washington Dates 11-4-03 to 11-8-03 4* Washington DC-White House-Capitol Hill $125 *Warning* AAA Cheaper $119 I called Hotwire only to be told tuff luck! I called twice. One person was RUDE and nasty. Both said, do the Guarentee. This does not work for AAA rates. I rather pay less and get Bed I wanted. Positive note: Hotel was VERY VERY nice. Near all the major site seeing tours. The area was not great or bad. The Georgetown/ foggy bottom area is nicer if you can get it. This area is a great second choiceThe staff was wonderfull at hotel. No mention of Hotwire at all and every wish was granted. Why not, I paid more than their going AAA rate of $119. I do feel ripped off by hotwire and don't think I will use them again except for rent a car. I did try Priceline first about 20 times with different areas ect. Only to be turned down again and again. Thereuare: I am back and e-mailed you weeks ago never to get a responce? Hope this helps. Please edit this the way you need. Have not posted in awhile
  5. For future notice Priceline has the Resort Mona surfrider and the Sheraton for the price around $120-$135 So for the same price you could of got a resort. Sometimes Hotwire is not the answer.
  6. IS it me or does Hotwire/Priceline customer service reps need to tone down the rude treating of their customers. I called both and asked simple questions only to get Rude people. It seems to me that the only reason these company's have customer service is to turn people down. With their no refund policy Why would they need customer service. Both their websites hide facts like you might get a smoking room. This is hidden on the back pages and only after you search for it. Seems to me something like cancer causing rooms should be on main page. First thing I do is call my credit card company and fight it. No way would I wait two hours for them to figure out who droped the ball. Then I would of used the hotels computer to book a priceline hotel or use Orbitz. Why should you wait two hours after a airline flight? Years ago Priceline used to guarntee a NON- SMOKING room with a king bed now you get nothing. Of course does their website state you no-longer get this? Nope only on the back pages. :)
  7. Well we liked the Hyatt, But was a little dissapointed with the old carpet and rooms. It is clean and in a very good area. 5 blocks from my favorite Breakfast place. We stayed there years ago so maybe it has been redone? If you can get into the Monderan hotel (Skybar) for a drink. I would Recommend it. The Comedy club :) is next door to you and across the street is the Blues House. Most of all have fun on your honeymoon
  8. Congrats! I too am getting married very soon. You might want to consider this also. I just got the Hotwire Sheraton 3.5* at Universal city. It is a rocks throw away from Universal city walk and park. You will love the night life and the Hotel is nice too. Nice area Hotel Price $81 Please read my other post on this. Please note! if you decide to try for this hotel it is tricky and you might want to ask Thereyouare (admin) advice on how to get this hotel. I can help too. It is tricky because there are 2 hotels with same rating and amenities. You could wind up with the Hilton if you are not careful and have a great view of the Burbank airport. The other choice I would say again is the 4* Whyndam on Priceline West Hollywood area. It is a All Suite hotel and you could get upgraded because of Honeymoon. Also it is near my favorite Breakfast place about 6 blocks. The Hotel gets GREAT REVIEWS. I Love it also. TELL every hotel that you are on HONEYMOON. It helps here in the U.S.A
  9. OOOPPPPPSSSS!!!!! IT IS NOT THE HYATT!!!!! Just noticed your amenities: pool, fitness centre, complimentary breakfast, kitchenette and fitness centre. The Hyatt does not have a Kitchenette :) Sorry about that, but at least I cleared that up right away
  10. With Priceline the 3* in West Hollywood is the Hyatt. We stayed there threw Priceline and the hotel was not bad. The Priceline 4* in West Hollywood is the Wyhndam worth the extra $20 because every room is a suite. Average Price to bid for Wyhndam would be $80 to $90 Since Hotwire rates some of there hotels at a higher rating than Priceline it is hard to tell. I noticed Hotwire sometimes adds 1/2 * to the same hotels. I am not sure what rate you got with Hotwire? In this case it might be a better deal with Priceline? I do use both services. If I had to guess and mind you this is just a guess. The Hotwire 3* should also be the Hyatt. Of course there is no guarntee. Good luck and let us know what you get if you try. Hope I helped :)
  11. After you Win the Big and get the hotel a week later Hotwire sends you a e-mail asking for a Customer favorite feedback responce for your stay. It is possible that they do this for all hotels? Since I used Hotwire only 3 times for hotels and 2 are pending I really don't know how many times they did it
  12. yes that was the list of amenities at the time I got it for $175. Not just a report. I stayed there :) Other hotels in NYC are just as nice, but if you like being across from the MET then this is the place for you. BIG NOTE. You might want to try PRICELINE for this hotel first. It is listed as a 4* in Upper eastside and people get this hotel for less. About $130's last I seen. Try them first then go to hotwire. I did and when I failed at priceline I went to hotwire. Hope this helps :) :o :)
  13. You can delete this post if you want since no one knew the answer we decided to use the Sheraton in Unversial city :)
  14. I know he did not say it in his post. But when I pulled up his dates it did. So it made alot of sence. Why would the Burbank Hilton next to an airport be a customer favorite? Aslo that price was $74 not $81. All the planets came together on this one so I went for it.
  15. OMG BEAV You just saved me over $150 I don't know how to thank you for your post. To make a long story short. I was going to use Priceline and stay in west Holywood Wynham hotel. Seems that hotel raised it's priceline rate. I read this elsewhere Then we said ok let's stay at the Sheraton Univeral. I made a normal reservation. Price was $150 THEN I saw your post. I did research and noticed you were right. The Burbank Hilton is sneaky with same amenities. SO I did this. I put in your dates and then the dates I wanted. You dates showed $81 3 1/2 * Customer Favorite!. Half of my dates showed $74 and NO Customer Favorite! I knew the $74 had to be the Hilton. This is how you can tell the difference. Seems Weekends are for Hilton only. So I booked the half with $81 3 1/2* Customer Favorite! AND YES I GOT THE SHERATON. I would I loved my entire booking at $81 but Half is good too. :)

  17. I did some research on that area. Also looked on Expedia. The only difference is the Laundry. The Le Montrose is the only one that has a Laundry. Can this be the hotel? Anyone know? Thanks for the info. 4* Le Montrose Suite Hotel Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Business, Golf, Tennis, Laundry PS Priceline Hotel 4* in this area is the Whyndam. They have no Laundry. Only concern is that Hotwire gives higher star rating than priceline or anyone else for that matter. Don't want to get a 3* for this price.
  18. Admin please edit area it was Woodland hills Man I must be tired tonight sorry
  19. 3*Los angeles hilton $57 woodland hills This was from split bid with marriott. This never happened before. I never got this hotel. I seen it and it is nice. Got burned trying to split a bid. Just when you think you know a area for years you get burned. Kinda mad about this. I will get over it though
  20. Tried this many many times about 9 times. Seems price went up. Got this hotel many many times in past for about $55 to $79. Price hike must be the months. Would advise to start at $55 and go up from there.
  21. thought I was going easy? I offered to help him/her. I know what it is to be new. The free rebid thing is confusing. So how was I not nice? I really thought I was. I really don't think an extra $10 a night would really make a difference? The person is paying for a trip to Hawaii. Why would an extra $10 make a difference? $10 can be found by not eating lunch or no rent a car ect. Did you not hear about the Adult store at the hotel? I for one would not want a hotel that has an Adult store or ladies of the evening walking near by. I was really trying to be helpful. Sorry if I came across to harsh
  22. :) Oh my God. I am sorry to say it ,but you made all the first time mistakes for Priceline. By raising your bid and then lowering your star choices to 1 and 2 star you end up over paying for a 2 star. From what I read any hotel that Priceline offers under 3 stars are really bad. Also in bad neighborhood. I think if I remember right that the hotel you got has a ADULT store in front or in lobby? I forget I read so much info. If you have an e-mail like yahoo or hotmail and want to post it I can help you with the in's and out's I would of told you to pay $60 to $65 and get a Priceline 3*. I too need 2 nights on this island. Was looking to see if Hotwire offers different than priceline. this board is great keep up the good work
  23. If Hotwire was $48 the other day I would of done $36 oh well
  24. Well when I checked hotwire it was $56 hymmm now i see $47.95 Lowest rate on rent acar sites were $56 Well honestly Avis has caddys and we need the room for bags. for 4 people. Alamo uses a BUICK for LUX lol too funny So I am happy.
  25. LAX 8/9 - 8/15 Lux Avis $44 Did I over pay? Hotwire was $56.50 Was first bid. Btw avis has caddys so I am happy we need the space for bags
