  1. An Addict! Me? My wife just declared me a Priceline Addict! When we get back home I will compile my PL stats and post. It will be staggering to see the number of PL stays we/I have had and the gobs of $$$ I have saved! Just this week we are saving $147/nite over this hotel's internet rate!! I have also saved my friends huge amounts of money on their hotel rooms and improved the quality of their stay. Yes, I'm hooked and proud of it! :)
  2. Check-In Date: Wednesday, August 13, 2003 Check-Out Date: Thursday, August 14, 2003 Orlando Airport (MCO) 7931 Daetwyler Drive Orlando, Florida 32812 Your Offer Price: $25.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Subtotal: $25.00 Taxes and Service Fees: $8.50 Total Charges: $33.50 :) Have stayed here before. Nice clean hotel with ok conti b'fast, free airport shuttle with FREE parking up to 2 weeks while tripping! :)
  3. Welldone, Is your access FREE or is there a fee at that Starbucks? :)
  4. I'm really curious on how many times folks have used Priceline for Hotel bookings over the years and how much money they have saved. The number of times is real easy to figure. Just go to your "My Trips" listings. In most cases, the $$$ savings is about equal to what was paid before taxes and fees, right? :)
  5. We had FREE Wi-Fi last week on the Exec Floor at the Holiday Inn--Altamonte Springs Florida (Orlando) and found it to be nearly useless. It was so glitchy, flakey and dropping out so often that we reverted back to the standby dialup. The hotel has had lots of complaints about it. The building construction and metal doors might be the problem. The tech support folks were near useless! We have all our computers at home on a wireless network and love it. I was just at a Coffee Shop that has FREE Wi-Fi in Asheville and there was a girl sending out her's business' email from the cafe using their net! :)
  6. Tke Kid is a comic and we just don't know it! Reading his posts is a real pleasure! With the price that the hotels wants for these robes, I could buy 2 in a nice store! :)
  7. We have had this same situation occur to us before. We solved it by dividing out the kids and their friends and having my wife in one room and me in another room. That solved our safety & comfort issues. A sleeping mat comes in quite handy for a kid or 2 :) !
  8. With 5 people to accomodate, I'd bid on 2 rooms, right BigBlue? :)
  9. Oh, Did it again! Got the executive floor for our 6 day stay here in Lovely Asheville NC by using the $20 Tip enticement! Everyone wins! :)
  10. Did it again! Got a Junior Suite at the Holiday Inn- Altamonte Springs (Orlando) by employing the $20 Tip Trick at check-in for a 5 day stay! It is a win-win situation! :)
  11. And thanks for providing the tax rate too! I really don't think you overbid at all because it is generally noted that PL has upped their fees. Isn't it a nice feeling to hit the nail(price) on the head?!? Tks! :)
  12. Do you happen to recall what the tax/fees are? Tks! :)
  13. Well.... one just knows if and when the tip trick is going to work with the check-in agent. After requesting check-in for OUR reservation and some small talk I ask pointblank if they are allowed to accept TIPS for providing excellent service. Usually the agent says of course and then I hand them the folded $20 bill with a big thank you. These folks are like airline gate agents. They can do almost anything they want to do about seating right before the flight leaves. MOst hotel check-in agents can do about the same if nicer rooms are available. It is a win-win situation for all involved! :)
  14. Tipping the hotel clerk at check-in once again garnered us another large suite at the Wellesley in Tampa! :) Priceliners are normally given a single queen bed in a small room at most Wellesley's! I usually use the $20 Tip Trick at check-in for my stays of over 3 nites. :)
  15. Is it possible for you to give us an idea on your "cheat moves" since you mentioned it? Tks! :)
  16. OH NO!!! I think you are correct my good man! Damn the bad luck! Me! :)
  17. ThereUAre! And you provided the detailed info w/o an attitude! That is so refreshing! The admin at TOBB could take a lesson in kindness from you. Not once in the whole time I have been a member of this BB have I seen a single sign of an attitude from you. You make it a real pleasure to view and use this BB! Thanks! :)
  18. And it took only one email to PL to get it done. Shock! :)
  19. oh yes there is bonus money still to be had! :)
  20. Good Get! Is this hotel res the nite before a cruise? If so, is parking free while you are cruising? Tks!
  21. Z! FYI--But if one is a HH Gold member and one presents his Gold card at checkin one usually gets upgrades and amenities. I know because I am a HH Gold member & it works for me. :)
  22. Plz tell us what the tax/fees are and was this your first bid for this hotel. Tks! :)
  23. p.s. Oh, was walked to the LaQuinta Hotel right next door! Same 2 star type but with a nice cont. b.fast. BUT LQ allows for dogs of all sizes and this hotel was full of barking dogs! Glad I had a loud AC! Sorry, wasn't able to edit my previous post. :)
