When bidding 5* you also have to be willing to accept the Trump hotel witch is not on the strip and has no casino.

I don't know if you have seen the Sheraton since the remodel but the place is quite nice and its right on the ocean.

NYE falls on a Wednesday this year and with the economy the way it is, there are going to be a lot of good deals this year.

Hyatt won't give you any points for a room booked on PRICELINE but they will give you full benefits on the stay if you have status with them.

This hotel has a van that will drop you at the train station that will take you downtown. This is a great hotel that sits right on the water and has free hot breakfast and evening drinks :)

All Las Vegas hotels charge for more then 2 adults staying in the same room. I never say any thing about my kid at check-in and they never say any thing about the charge :)

I would not over bid on this one as its on a Wed night. I don't think you will have a problem getting a room on the strip for around $100-$150. NYE 2006 I got Aladdin for $133 per night and it was on a Sunday night. I would book something that you can cancel and bid this once or twice a week.

The only person you have to thank is yourself. You tried to save money by taking a chance that you would get a room with bedding for four and you failed. Why is this Priceline or the hotels fault? Buy two twin inflatable beds and you are still a head. Your second mistake was to call the hotel and put a red flag on yourself having four people in a room rated for two. Now if they are full and need that room you are going to be the first person weeded out.

HOTWIRE has what looks like the Westin for $64 for your dates. The problem is they charge a resort fee. I think I would start bidding at $45-$50 if the Westin and their resort fee would be ok?

I bid this for the same night at 6pm. I bid 2 1/2* at $36 and won at $37 with a upgrade to the 3* Mesa Hilton. The place was just remodeled and was a great bargan for $37. I would have stopped at $38 if I had not won by then as the 3* Holiday Inn seems to hit at $40 and I wanted no part of that hotel. Its almost not worth bidding on strip hotels any more with the Trump coming up at 5* and the Westin at 4* with their added resort fee. :)

I have seen many rooms all the way up to one of their best suites at Caesar's and I would not pay more or go out of my way to stay there.

Flamingo Las Vegas has a $80 rate booking direct for Aug 3rd. The Flamingo has a great pool but the rooms are just ok. If you sign up for Harrah's total rewards you have a good chance of a upgrade to a newly remodeled Go room witch are very nice. My choice on the strip is Planet Hollywood but the pool is a joke.
