First bid was for 2.5 stars, $51 for West. Added Downtown and increased bid to $55. Very nice property -- my brother who lives in Amarillo says they just finished renovating. No pool for the kids though. Used the BB PRICELINE link.

Based my assumption that we'd get the Brown on the record of that being the hotel people have been winning for Louiseville 4 star Downtown bids. It also looks like this one has been upgraded to a 4 star recently, as your Priceline Hotel list shows it as a 3.5. Anyways, I'm over my initial disappointment and looking forward to our stay. Well, I have to admit that I'm disappointed. I thought for sure I'd get the Brown Hotel. :( Got it on the first bid, and it looks like we'll be paying $20 parking on top of it. It's all part of the game and we'll make the best of it.

Thanks for the info. I went to look for a price idea on Holiday Inn at the Bay and they're already booked for the night before our cruise-- :) I wish there were more reports on winning bids for hotels in downtown San Diego. Everything shown for this zone is 4*, $90+ range, and we'll be spending less for less stars.

My first bid was $55 Tucson East 3* Rejected Added 2.5* and decreased price to $50, which was accepted. The reviews for this hotel seem very good, so attempted the "add a night" option. However, I was turned down. :) Priceline list price for this is $189.
