Congrats on your success! :)

Very nice deal for this former Hotel Indigo property. Thank you for letting us know about the star rating change for this HOTWIRE property so that we can update the site's Hotwire Hotel List for the state.

It would also be greatly appreciated if you could confirm the amenity icons that were showing with this listing. Thanks.

Thank you for sharing your win with the board and please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

Enjoy your stay.

That is certainly interesting, since when I stayed there (Jan. 18-20), also paying $49 plus taxes and fees it was, appropriately, 3-stars (icons were Fitness Center, Pool and High-Speed Internet). It was the equivalent of 3-star Holiday Inn Ontario Airport which now manages both hotels, according to the front desk. Maybe they finally got their liquor license back, and this warranted an upgrade (I think they briefly lost it when they changed management and it went from being the Hotel Indigo to the Hotel Ontario), but the Holiday Inn has both a larger bar and restaurant. I can't imagine what other changes the Ontario could have made in such a brief period of time, so presumably Hotwire decided to change. Being 3 1/2 stars does not, of course, mean the rooms are necessarily nicer; it can just mean more facilities and even more charges (e.g., Marriott Ontario Airport is 3 1/2 stars on Priceline, but they charge both for parking and Internet, which the Ontario does not). By the way, out of curiosity I did a Web search, and the site for the Hotel Indigo Ontario-Rancho Cucamonga remains, but I saw no site for the Hotel Ontario.

Apparently Hotel Ontario is now a 3.5 star.

I was a little disappointed when it revealed Hotel Ontario, but only because I already scratched it as a possibility. Still a good deal I guess. Parking and internet are free.

I had to call the hotel to get the new website URL. It's www.hotelontarioca.com. You may be right about the liquor license, the website references a bar.

Sorry, I guess I didn't read your posts very well. The icons were still Fitness, Pool, and Internet. I'm not really sure what would have warranted the upgrade to 3.5 stars. The still was no bar, and the cafe was hardly a restaurant (although they did offer a few items that I think they just microwaved in the back).

With that said, it was perfect for a weekend of shopping at the nearby mall with my daughter. I would stay there for $49 again in a heartbeat...the rooms were great!

I just found out that the room I got was a suite and that I was "lucky" to get it. Just thought I would share that since I spoke so highly of the rooms.

Booking again for March...it's $10 more now, and I'm not so sure that's such a good deal if I were to get a standard room. Hmmmm...
