My only problem is I'm doing this to commute into a conference in New York City, traffic on Friday might be bad. Oh well I got a great deal I'll just have to get up earlier.

Even though I got this property for $39 for Friday and Saturday Night it looks like I didn't overbid for this date. Summerfields website shows this for $169 on Thursday Night vs $79 on Friday and Saturday night.

you may want to ask at the hotel if they run a shuttle to the Morris Plains train station, the round trip fare is $22.50 during peak times and $19.25 off peak. You will arrive less stressed after commuting into the city and trying to find parking close to your conference. Parking at the train station is $3-4 but the lots look small and may fill up.
