Sutter
This would be a separate reservation from the one for Jan. 16-17. For one person, rate of $49 appears, with amenities of fitness center, pool and high-speed Internet. If I change the reservation to two adults and two children (following your advice on an earlier reservation for the same locale), additional amenities of shuttle, golf nearby, tennis neaby and restaurant appear. Rate remains the same. When we stayed at the Holiday Inn Ontario Airport recently, through Hotwire, amenities were the same as for the two adults/two children except at that time no "golf nearby" or "tennis nearby" appeared. thereuare
Unfortunately neither of the above (assming they're different) properties have been reported to the board... would the Ontario East zone work at all for your plans? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. Sutter
What about just going for the Ontario Airport West hotel for one night, and then going back to Hotwire for 2 more nights if I get a good hotel? I'd also be able to add to the data base of BetterBidding! Link to comment
thereuare
If you're willing to potentially split your stay between two hotels then that's certainly a gameplan.. but first make sure that what appears to be the same hotel (based upon the star rating and amenities) appears for both the solo nite and then again for the remaining two nites. Thanks for using our PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know how it goes. Sutter
Went for a 3-star Ontario East, amenities fitness center, pool, high-speed Internet, $49 for Oct. 18-20 (unsure of what hotel it might be so booked for 2 nights; will exgtend or rebook, even for another, for last day, the 20th until the 21st). Hotwire says it's the "Hotel Ontario," but address matches the Hotel Indigo. Sutter
It is the Hotel Ontario. Was the Indigo. Upon arrival I learned that the hotel has changed ownership (now "independenty owned" though the receptionist said it's owned by the same people who own the Holiday Inn Ontario Airport and they are trying to get affiliation with the HI chain), and that it has officially changed its name to the Hotel Ontario. Signs, stationary, etc., all still say Hotel Indigo but it is in fact the Hotel Ontario now. When I asked if I could switch to a room not facing the street, the receptionist said the rooms of the level for Hotwire rates all faced the street. It does have a small cafe/restaurant, open in the morning and evenings. Link to comment
AaronJB
Thank you for letting us know about the change in name for the property. Hope your stay is going well overall. Link to comment
Colfax
Hotel Indigo Ontario opened in 2008 and went into foreclosure in 2009. It doesn't bode well for the Indigo brand as there were only two Indigos in all of California. Cali's other Indigo is in San Diego's Gaslamp Quarter, and that one's still operating. Link to comment
