KPT Posted January 11, 2005 Report Posted January 11, 2005 1st Bid....4* NMA $40 rejected2nd Bid...4* NMA and Loop $45 accepted.Although the Loop has 4*'s either location was ok with me but I was hoping to get the Hyatt! I would have started higher but as there have been several postings lately for $45 at the Hyatt - I thought I would try even lower just for kicks. Chicago in January, I wonder why this us a deal? ...brrrrr!www.betterbidding.com saves me $$ again!! thanks!
lowballer Posted January 11, 2005 Report Posted January 11, 2005 Chicago in January, I wonder why this us a deal? ...brrrrr! Come now, it's supposed to hit 50 tomorrow (your first night). It's been colder here over Memorial Day. Any time you can stay in Chicago in January and pay less than the temperature, you've got a pretty good deal. :)
dahammer Posted January 12, 2005 Report Posted January 12, 2005 That's a great price considering that there is a big trade show at McCormack this week, it runs until the 13th. I suspect that there may have been a lot of trade show-related cancellations that caused the Hyatt released its inventory. The trade show rate is $149.00 !!! Way to go!
thereuare Posted January 12, 2005 Report Posted January 12, 2005 Very nicely done... glad we have helped you save money (and will do so more in the future... we get more and more useful every day :) )Chicago winters sure are cold, but it is also nice to see Chicago wins in the $40's... maybe there is a correlation between pricing and degrees on the thermometer? :) Glad it worked out for you and you got the hotel you wanted.Have a great stay!
