I would not say this is a San Jose South Hotel even if it falls on Hotwire's Map. Its at the cusp of North and South, but it might as well be North. Its also in a Horrible Neighborhood. I can't cancel the booking, so if I decide to stay here after all, I will add anymore tips that I have.
