TomPSP Posted October 22, 2009 Report Posted October 22, 2009 Trip Advisor rating of 4features: Fitness CenterPoolRestaurantLaundry Facilities: Guests have access to a coin-operated washer and dryerI would have said Holiday Inn Civic Center on 8th, and I have stayed there before per this sites recommendations; however, they do not offer coin-operated laundry. I even phoned hotel to confirm. It can't be Hotel Whitcomb, as they do not have a pool.?? any thoughts
AaronJB Posted October 22, 2009 Report Posted October 22, 2009 What are the dates of travel?Given the 4/5 tripadvisor, it wouldn't be the HI or Whitcomb. Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchase.
TomPSP Posted October 22, 2009 Author Report Posted October 22, 2009 What are the dates of travel?Given the 4/5 tripadvisor, it wouldn't be the HI or Whitcomb. Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchase. The dates of travel are 12/31/09 - 01/03/10. Adding to the mystery: both the toll-free reservation line and the HI website (8th street location) states they are sold-out for 12/31.
AaronJB Posted October 23, 2009 Report Posted October 23, 2009 This property has not yet been ID'd/reported to the board. My guess would be the Best Western Americania, but that would be just a guess. Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links, and let us know if you do purchase or if you do have further questions.
Gallus50 Posted October 23, 2009 Report Posted October 23, 2009 As a side note, if this is the BW Americania, it has recently been remodeled and it looks really cool.
Colfax Posted October 26, 2009 Report Posted October 26, 2009 The Best Western Americania is a Joie de Vivre boutique now, as is the Best Western Hotel Tomo in Japantown. I don't know if Joie de Vivre owns the hotels or just manages. The hotels are bookable through Best Western or Joie de Vivre websites...same arrangement as the Best Western Tuscan Inn in Fisherman's Wharf, which is owned by Kimpton and can be booked through Kimpton's website or Best Western's.Did you ever purchase, TomPSP? If so was this the the Best Western Americania?
