Wanted to reassure you, as I've stayed at this hotel couple times in the past year. It's been remodeled from top to bottom, and has a very modern feel. It is directly behind the Whitcomb, and between the two, I'd prefer the HI any day !!!. Much nicer and safer feel than the Whitcomb

Have been trying daily for well over 60 days for a 4* hotel at Logan for Friday, 07/09/10. Priceline consistently rejected bids up to $108, HotWire fluctuated between $185-215. Got shock this morning when HotWire posted $108. Not the Hilton (connected to airport) that we had hoped, but still very close to airport. 4* Harborside Hyatt for less than a motor motel.
The dates of travel are 12/31/09 - 01/03/10. Adding to the mystery: both the toll-free reservation line and the HI website (8th street location) states they are sold-out for 12/31.
Trip Advisor rating of 4 features: Fitness Center Pool Restaurant Laundry Facilities: Guests have access to a coin-operated washer and dryer I would have said Holiday Inn Civic Center on 8th, and I have stayed there before per this sites recommendations; however, they do not offer coin-operated laundry. I even phoned hotel to confirm. It can't be Hotel Whitcomb, as they do not have a pool. ?? any thoughts
Very pleasantly surprised to get this hotel for this price for a holiday weekend. Have tried in the past, using much higher bids, and each time was rejected. Persistence pays off. Westin website presently listing $170/night
Amenities on Hotwire are listed as fitness center, business center, laundry facilities, high speed internet and pool. No mention of it being "no smoking hotel". As of this moment, it appears to still be available at $59
Does anyone have any suggestions? I am trying to view the "Calendar of Wins" for San Francisco - Hotwire which occurred on 08/30/09 - 09/01/09. Although each day apparently has winnings posted, the "pop-up" feature on these dates will not open. Oddly, I am able to view dates prior to 08/30/09. ? Any suggestions ?
