rlibkind Posted August 17, 2009 Report Posted August 17, 2009 Obtained through Better Bidding link. I was aiming for the Morristown Hyatt, but this meeting hotel is even more convenient to where I'm heading (NJ Shakespeare Festival at Drew U in Madison). Rack rate shows as $222, AAA Discount $160. Haven't stayed at this hotel before. Website says they've got free wifi. Appears to have full range of facilities, includng indoor-outdoor pool.

dahammer Posted August 18, 2009 Report Posted August 18, 2009 I stayed here about a year ago, it was a nice hotel, I think this was formerly a Dolce property, well worth a $62 bid. I think this is adjacent to Drew University.
rlibkind Posted August 19, 2009 Author Report Posted August 19, 2009 I stayed here about a year ago, it was a nice hotel, I think this was formerly a Dolce property, well worth a $62 bid. I think this is adjacent to Drew University. It's near Drew, not adjacent. Other side of tracks, closer to about halfway between Madison and the Rt. 24 interchange. It does appears to be adjacent to College of St. Elizabeth and Fairleigh Dicksinson.
rlibkind Posted September 29, 2009 Author Report Posted September 29, 2009 A delayed report on our one-night stay in late August . . .In a word: perfect.Definitely a 4* property. Rooms very clean and well-maintained, staff pleasant and efficient. i used the indoor/outdoor pool and hot tub and found them excellent. The grounds in the interior courtyard are lovely. Very convenient if you need to be in Morristown/Florham Park/Madison area. Reliable high-speed internet (iirc, it was wifi, but it might have been ethernet with a supplied cable). We paid for the weekday breakfast buffet (made to order omelet station) and were glad we did. Certainly not a bargain breakfast, but very fair value for a sumptuous, widely varied spread which included good quality fresh fruit, the yogurts and jams, hot and cold cereals, nicely done hot line with all the usual meat sides, pastries, breads and rolls, including bagels, and (this is what always wins me over) smoked salmon. Staff was on their toes, never had to ask for a coffee refill. No doubt, I'd stay there again and try to design my bids to capture Hamilton Park for future trips to the area.
AaronJB Posted September 29, 2009 Report Posted September 29, 2009 Glad to hear you had a fine stay at this property.
