Hotwire Hotel: 3* NYC Airport (JFK) Holiday Inn

I'm looking for a room near JFK for one night 8/9 for three people. I have read in other threads that you would not recommend using priceline for anything over double occupancy in nyc. Would this apply for airport hotels also? What are my chances of being able to get two beds in this area if I book through priceline? I noticed that hotels offered through priceline for jfk seem to have better ta reviews than those offered through hotwire (e.g. courtyard by marriot, crowne plaza...). I have a budget of up to $150 including taxes. Thanks!

The more than double occupancy holds true anytime you use PRICELINE, but the 'extra caution' we advise for Manhattan hotels is somewhat less at the airport locations. (but the general poor reviews of the JFK area hotels brings on the added risk of 'poor service' and the hotel simply not wanting to go out of their way to accomodate your bidding request.

Are you looking to stay in this area to save money vs. NYC or do you have an early flight? (if the latter what time is your depature?)

I would not use PRICELINE if you definitely need accomodations for three. There are no guarentees and I do know of people who only got one bed and were very unhappy. Someone had to sleep on the floor. They only promise a bed for two and if that is what they give you, you have no grounds for a complaint.
