Hotwire Hotel: 2* Monterey-Carmel (Pacific Grove) Anton Inn

I need to book a one-night Hotwire stay in Monterey, CA and needed some assistance.

I am looking at 9/5/09-9/6/09 in the Monterey/Pacific Grove area.

There are two options I am looking to identify:

3* for $129/night

Boutique

Complimentary Breakfast

Pool

(I believe this might be the Lighthouse Lodge, but am not sure)

2* for $80

Modified American Plan (apparently includes an additional meal for free!)

Near Beach

Smoke Free Rooms

Complimentary breakfast

(I am guessing this is the Anton Inn)

I didn't see these on the pinned list. Is anyone able to positively identify either of these hotels?

This stay is during a busy holiday weekend, but I am pleased to see that there are some interesting options available.

Yes, both in the Pacific Grove zone. I could stay in Monterey, but these two listings in Pacific Grove looked the most interesting to me. I have the following night already reserved via Hotiwre (using the HOTWIRE link on this board) at the Hotel Abrego in Monterey, but I like to stay in different places each night to experience different things.

Neither of the properties above have been reported to the board.

The Lighthouse Inn seems to be a pretty good fit for the 3* and the Tripadvisor info matches, so that would certainly be among the likley candidates. For the 2* i don't really have any insight to make an educated guess.

We ended up booking the 2* and are pleased with the results. As expected we ended up with the Anton Inn in Pacific Grove.

Dates are 9/5/09-9/6/09 in the Monterey/Pacific Grove (Pacific Grove) area.

This is a great deal, considering that it's Labor Day weekend and we will be very close to the beach.

I used this site's HOTWIRE link to being my purchase. I tried to edit the title of this thread, but couldn't figure out how. Let me know if I should start a new thread now that the hotel has been booked/confirmed.
