I've been trying to bid for a 3 1/2 star hotel in Napa on Priceline even up to $165 for 8/3-8/5/09 and have been unsuccessful for the past week. Haven't seen anything on Hotwire. Any idea how much hotels are going for that week?

Welcome to the site.

Not sure why nothing has been accepted for 8/3-5. What have you bid for, exactly?

I'm seeing the 3.5* Doubletree in this area for $79 for these dates on Orbitz.com, and if you use coupon code deal0hotel, you get an extra 10% off. There are several other properties available on Orbitz.com, as well.

Please use the site's Orbitz.com link if you decide to go this route.

The price of the Doubletree seems great, especially relative to your rejected bids, but i'm assuming that might be the Doubletree in Rhonert Park, for the price could you make that work for your plans?

If not and you need to be in Napa, how about the Embassy Suites thru Orbitz for $178/nite. Using coupon deal0hotel lowers by 10%, bringing your cost to ~$160/nite, a little less than you have alread bid above... and includes breakfast and evening manager's reception.

Do either of the above work for your needs?

Haven't seen anything on Hotwire.

HOTWIRE has four hotels in Napa for your dates:

4* $189

3* $112

2.5* $129

2* $109

If any of those interest you please post the icons you see on your own search and someone will try to ID.

Hotwire is offering a $65/night for a 2 star in Napa for 6/19 to 6/20 (last minute, yes) with the following amenities:

This hotel features the following amenities:

Smoke Free Rooms

Guest rooms at this hotel are always smoke-free.

High-speed Internet Access

Anybody have any idea which hotel this is? Also, is it better to try priceline first? I'm trying to stay one night last minute for cheap, cheap, cheap!
