Looking to book a 4* resort oceanfront yet have ZERO experience with HOTWIRE or PRICELINE. I'd love Paradise Point resort, and Hilton oceanfront resort, something in LaJolla and my budget is open, but just want a great deal! Any advuce would be appreciated since this is new to me and seems like such a risk, yet possibly a risk well worth it...any advie would be so greatly appreciated!

Check the HOTWIRE Hotel List for San Diego to see the most recently reported icon sets for the Hilton Mission Bay and Paradise Point. They're both in the SeaWorld-Mission Bay-Shelter Island zone.

Then plug in dates on HOTWIRE to see if you can find a match for those icons.

Icons can change at any time. If you find something that's close to what's in the Hotel List, but not a perfect match, then post the icons you see here and someone will try to ID to the hotel.

Keep in mind that searching on Hotwire's default option---2 adults/0 children---only guarantees a room with 1 bed. If you need 2 beds you should search on 3 adults or 2 adults/1 child.

Went ahead and booked it (via the HOTWIRE link above of course)...turns out I got Paradise Cove Resort...$89.00 a night. I've read mixed reviews, but this was a place I wanted to stay at since it sounds quite family friendly and I think the price is amazing compared to what the site advertises! Spoke to reservations today and it looks like I should easily be able to upgrade to a bayview for an additional charge, but I just want to thank you for all the help...I would never have known where o begin without this site...you really helped me identify what I wanted and take a risk that resulted in significant savings! I've already reccomended this site to friends!

Is this the same as the Paradise Point Resort and Spa?? If not, can you provide the address of the hotel you received.
