pr1ncessd1ane Posted April 16, 2009 Report Posted April 16, 2009 I have had difficulty with Priceline lately. It appears that they are limiting free rebids. I specifically was bidding for a 5* hotel in rome that would allow for 4 free rebids. After the first bid, I am counter offered but decline and proceed with my first free rebid. After being rejected, I am directed to a Priceline Fee Chop screen which does not allow me to return to the bidding page to continue with my remaining free rebids. I hope others that may have been struggling with this issue happen across this post so that they can recognize that the problem is not strictly limited to their bid. I attempted to post this on another popular bidding forum but was banned from the site as a result.

Colfax Posted April 17, 2009 Report Posted April 17, 2009 pr1ncessd1ane,Can you add your travel dates, your highest bid, and the counteroffer you received? That will make your post useful to other Rome bidders.Have you been able to work around the glitch and get a bid accepted?
thereuare Posted April 18, 2009 Report Posted April 18, 2009 If you use the search box on the top right corner of the board, enter your info, and use that to bid... then if you're rejected and re-directed to the 'retail' section of PRICELINE, simply close that browser, re-press the GO button on the search box, then add the zone you want and your re-bid zone and bid as usual.Although not the intention when created, the search box comes in really handy for re-bidding when there is a need to close the browser. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
123slb Posted April 19, 2009 Report Posted April 19, 2009 This is a very cool tip. I rebid many times after having to close the browser and it can be pretty tedious on the 6th or 7th time! Thanks so much!
