This property has not yet been identified. While the listing being the new Holiday Inn Express is definitely not guaranteed, it falls within this zone, and does contain the same amenities as the listing so it is a possibility.

Please use these PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. Let us know what you ultimately decide to do and we can then edit the thread title to reflect the chosen hotel. If you let us know which hotel comes up, we could also add it to the site's hotel list.

Thanks and Happy Holidays! :)

Since this is an eight-night stay and there are some "not so nice" hotels in East LA you might consider buying just one or two nights first. That way you can confirm the hotel's identity before committing yourself to a nonrefundable eight-night purchase.

Thanks for your response:

I don't want to stay at the 3 star because it is not the Sheraton at Fairplex. The Sheraton is booked solid during my stay and also usually there is a customer favorite for the Sheraton. From what I can tell it is the Radisson in West Covina. I either would like to stay at the Sheraton or somewhere in San Dimas.

The Shilo Inn-Ontario/Diamond Bar is inside the East LA zone boundaries and it also has the five amenities listed.

I think Holiday Inn Express is more likely than Shilo just because HIE participates in Hotwire more often than Shilo Inns. Still the Shilo is a possibility and so is the Best Western Diamond Bar. There's not much to go on without TripAdvisor stats.

The Holiday Inn Express does not have a fitness center. Also, I have stayed in the Holiday Inn Express (on a rack rate paid by the insurance company) and talked to the manager. They did not (as of two months ago) participate in exit books or Priceline/Hotwire. The amenities are also nicer than that of a 2.5* (their peers are the Comfort Suites and the Sheraton, not the Red Roof Inn or ESA in the San Dimas hotel district). With Hotwire star inflation, this is at least a 3*, and probably a 3.5*. Big, spacious rooms and new room smell, although the TV suffers from a problem of resolution mismatch (plasma TVs being used to display regular cable).

You're correct, polyiguana. The Holiday Inn Express-San Dimas doesn't have a fitness center; just an outdoor pool and whirlpool. Thanks for setting the record straight.

Hotwire usually rates Holiday Inn Express 3*. Some are 2.5*. I'm not aware of any HIE's rated 3.5*. A Hotwire 3.5* almost always has an onsite restaurant with room service.
