thebrowns Posted July 8, 2008 Report Posted July 8, 2008 I had never heard about HOTWIRE and we were looking togo to Legoland. To be honest we were petrified aboutagreeing to pay money on a site unseen. But we tried it anywaysand got the Sheraton Resort & Spa in Carlsbad for 115.00 a nite.Which what I am looking at is a screaming deal. I am justworried that I put in that we have two kids and they willonly give us one bed. I called Sheraton but they prettymuch said it was booked through HOTWIRE and the onlyguarantee is that we have a room. Is there anything we cando to insure that there are two beds?? We are traveling Aug 21-24.Thank you for any responses

Colfax Posted July 9, 2008 Report Posted July 9, 2008 I stayed at the Sheraton a few weeks ago and the rooms there are huge. Because it's so near Legoland many families stay at the Sheraton and I imagine they have a lot of two-bed rooms. Even if you don't get two beds one kid can sleep on the couch and there will be still LOTS of room for a rolllaway or two or three. I would say don't worry about it.Btw, a couple weeks after I checked out I got a $10 charge on my credit card from Sheraton. I still don't know what the charge was for and haven't had time to call. Parking was $8/night but they didn't charge me for that at the time. At checkout they said I had a zero balance. Maybe the $10 was parking plus tax?
