Colfax Posted June 27, 2008 Report Posted June 27, 2008 I hope you enjoy the Ayres as much as I did, jrnyman04. I liked my room so much I didn't want to leave!I'm surprised you could get accepted for weekdays but not weekends because I think of Ayres as more of a business hotel. I thought availability would be better on weekends than weekdays. Thanks for the report.
jrnyman04 Posted June 28, 2008 Author Report Posted June 28, 2008 Colfax, Yes, we liked the Ayers Corona West very much too! In the past we stayed at he Ayers Yorba Linda (Its in the Anaheim Hills area of the Orange County zone) a few times over the weekends. It was nice also. Did you miss the manager's reception (available Mon-Thu) when you were at Ayers Corona West? As we stayed Wed and Thu nights, we were able to go to it on both days. It was really nice. Its almost like a free dinner. In addition to beer, wine and snacks, they also had a light dinner item each day. First day it was chicken over rice w/ sides of salad and garlic bread. The second day it was spaghetti meatballs w/ the same sides. We also got a room in the motel style building, however our room was on the inside, near the pool. We felt thats probably the best 2.5* hotel we stayed in so far.
Colfax Posted June 28, 2008 Report Posted June 28, 2008 No I was out at dinnertime and missed those manager's receptions. I made it to breakfast both days though and I really liked the service and that dining room. It felt more like a country club than a roadside motel in Corona.
