muddy waters Posted February 25, 2008 Report Posted February 25, 2008 Greetings everyone,I am new to the forum and have been lurking around trying to get the hang of better bidding for a while. I would like to plan a weekend getaway for my wife and I for our anniversary the weekend of May 10th. Ideally I would like to do NYC but from what I am gathering on this forum, May is an expensive time for staying in New York. It seems that Boston may be a better bet. My question is, what zones are the best to try and stay in to do the normal tourist things? I hear Boston is a very walkable city, but would like to be able to walk out of the hotel and into the action (museums, history, fine dining, theater, etc.) As I am only looking right now, price is not a factor. When I do decide to bid, whether I choose NYC or Boston, I will be sure to link to PRICELINE through this site and post my (hopefully) winning bid. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for having a great, friendly site and providing a money saving service!
dahammer Posted February 26, 2008 Report Posted February 26, 2008 I've only been to Boston once, but it seems that the Priceline zone Quincy Market - Faneuil Hall - Financial District is the best area for doing the tourist stuff. Hopefully someone with a bit more experience will reply as well.
muddy waters Posted February 26, 2008 Author Report Posted February 26, 2008 Thanks, dahammer. I appreciate your help.
muddy waters Posted February 26, 2008 Author Report Posted February 26, 2008 Liset,Thanks so much for your help, especially the advice about graduation week. I hadn't even considered that. Looking at current rates, it seems I could still do better in Boston that week than NYC. As I move along with the planning of our trip, I may hit you up for some more travel advice. Thanks again! :)
