Priceline Hotel: 4* San Diego (Coastal) Hilton San Diego Resort

Began bid with $70.00 4* coastal, added $5.00 three times when this hotel was won. Not the best win, as the trip is a business trip at UC San Diego-La Jolla would have been ideal, but the coastal area is a vast one; maybe someday Priceline will split into Coastal north and Coastal south. One can hope.

This zone is VERY LARGE and hopefully it will be made smaller in the future... i suspect it will, eventually.

Today's Coastal zone used to be two zones. It might even have been three. I remember a "Mission Bay" zone on the south and the one on the north was called "La Jolla", I think. Looking at old posts here it appears Priceline merged the zones in 2003. Hopefully they'll go back to that format. The coastal area has enough hotels to support two disctinct zones.
