a bit of a guess here, but I think it could be the Wingate Inn which is rated at 3* by Expedia and Hotels.com, another example of .5* rating inflation; all three are part of IAC Corp....hmm....thawed out bagels and jelly doughnuts vs. breakfast at the Hyatt Wind Watch....I'll choose the latter :) It looks like this is now $85.

just curious, it looks like you've successfully bid this area in the past using Priceline, given the dates of your stay and with time on your side, you could probably do a lot better with Priceline. Are you trying to avoid the Sheraton?

I have been trying Priceline. Thought I would get it with bids in the $45-$50 range but no luck. I know I should probably post my losing bids, but I really thought I would hit by now. Rates at the Sheraton, Hyatt & Marriott are all real low (under $129) for this time period. In the past that would have transalated into an easy $50 win. Not this time. Hopefully I will have a win to report soon.

For anyone interested I have bid as high as $67 a night for these dates on Priceline with no sale. With a confirmed & cancel friendly rate of $95 with a full breakfast for two at the Hyatt, I don't think I want to bid any higher.

I agree with your strategy, breakfast for two at the Hyatt is worth at least $25 and you won't have to pay the booking fees charged by HOTWIRE or Priceline. I would suspect that as your dates get closer the prices may drop, but I prefer the Hyatt over the Sheraton. If you get your fill of turkey, check out Tango Argentinian Steakhouse in Islip, its just a short drive from the Hyatt.
