Are you searching for 2adults/1child on your HOTWIRE search or are you leaving it as the default 2adults/0children... i don't see any MTS hotel with a pool when i search for your dates above and using triple occupancy.

If you do still see this property, what is the star rating and nightly price?

This is a 3* "Best Value" at $199 per night with the following amenities: Fitness Center, Pool, Restaurant, High-speed Internet Access. Could this be the Holiday Inn New York City-Midtown-57th St?

PS, this is an outdoor pool, so leave the Speedo back home :)

You may want to check out the Marriott Courtyard on Upper East side that has been getting v g reviews and is just above the $200 budget if you pay in advance. It is a bit further out but still accessible. You can book this through the travel links on this page. Recommend you read the reviews on Tripadvisor.

There is a one bedroom suite for your travel dates offered on affinia.com for the Beekman Tower for a total of $1,075. This would give you a huge amount of space and privacy for your daughter. Reviews on Trip Advisor for this hotel are very good, especially for the one bedroom suites.

Edited to add: There is also a Junior Suite at the Eastgate Tower for $1,043 and a studio suite at the Shelburne Murray Hill for $1,205. All affinia properties.

NYC is a BIG place, so there is no place near all the attractions. Get comfortable riding the subway as it will be your friend... it is easily the quickest and cheapest way to get from point A to point B (and with an unlimited metrocard, which we highly recommend you get) you will find yourself going 'underground' multiple times a day.

With that said, the Shelburne and the Eastgate would be the most convenient, both offering easy access to Grand Central Station

That's a great price on the Eastgate that Thereuare mentioned. I also agree that tehre is no one place near everything. But the midtown hotels mentioned above are in good locations for visitors. Also, public transport is really convenient and easy to use in New York.
