samthedog42
In regards to purchasing Airfare on PL. Just wanted to give a heads up to anyone bidding for airfare to cities named Birmingham (any one of them). It appears that the default Birmingham on PL is the one in the United Kingdom. And PL does not ALWAYS offer the option to choose which Birmingham you intend to go to or are leaving from! :) You seem to be safe if you enter the relevant airport code, but if you go back to change the dates or whatever later, PL will replace your airport code with just the word BIRMINGHAM, and redirect your bid to/from the UK city. While I'm sure that the Birmingham across the pond would be a nice place to visit, normally I intend to go to the Dixie version (Alabama)!Anyway...Y'all Come Back Now :) Link to comment
WillTravel
Glad you caught that :).This happens with other cities, and it also occurs with hotels, and it can happen on Priceline and Hotwire and Orbitz. Be sure to double-double-check what city you are working with before you buy. Link to comment
