I might have been able to get in cheaper on Priceline, but I wanted some certainty on the hotel and the amenities made it pretty clear that this was the Hyatt Regency.

BTW - rack rate from Hyatt's website for a double during this period ranged from $169-$219/night (Saturday night was highest at $219). All in all, a pretty good deal at $76/ngiht!

there is a great little Argentinian steakhouse in nearby Islip called Tango, its not too far from the Hyatt :) you can stop on your way back from the beach!! :)

Thanks for the heads up. I'm originally from the Islip area but haven't been back in a long time. I'll look for the restaurant during my travels.
