wguthridge Posted February 26, 2006 Report Posted February 26, 2006 We are going to need 3 nights in San Diego June 12th-June 14th and then we are going to Anaheim for the night of the 15th. If we bid now is the rate going to be higher then if we wait until closer to our arrival date? Any suggestions on what area to use? Thanks,Wendy
sfoster93 Posted February 27, 2006 Report Posted February 27, 2006 I am working on the the same type of trip. Your prices should be the same, but you may "feel" pressure to make higher bids to be successful. We both have time on your hands....I would look at the Orange County Forum to see what has been accepted recently.
wguthridge Posted February 27, 2006 Author Report Posted February 27, 2006 Thanks. I've checked Anaheim, but no dates listed for June. I've used PL for Anaheim last year, but never San Diego. Can you give me some tips on neighborhoods to use? Thanks.
thereuare Posted February 27, 2006 Report Posted February 27, 2006 Please only post regaring one stay per thread (and then use that thread for all posts for that stay). So we'lll use this thread for your San Diego stay and feel free to start a NEW TOPIC for the Anaheim part of your stay. You can use our San Diego Priceline Maps to help determine which zone(s) woudl be acceptable to you (hard for any of us to say since you don't mention what you'll be doing in San Diego). Once you determine your zone(s) and maximum bid let us know and we will try to help with a suggested strategy. wguthridge Posted March 4, 2006 Author Report Posted March 4, 2006 Has anybody had a problem with Hotwire selling a 3 star hotel that was not a 3 star? I thought I was purchasing a 3 star in Mission Beach Sea World area, but it turned out to be A Holiday Inn that is horrible. I read all 37 reviews on tripadvisor and 23 are terrible. It' s#134 out of 232 in popularity and the reviews call it dirty, nasty, The Bate's motel, cockroach motel etc...... There is a strip club and adult bookstore just down the street. Nice family place. I called HW and talked to one of the agents regarding this and she said they are going to research this and let me know in 7-10 days if they can do anything for me. Has anyone had this happen, and if so what was the outcome??????I don't feel they respresented this hotel with the correct star rating. Thanks,Wendy
