thereuare Posted August 16, 2015 Report Posted August 16, 2015 Please start by following-up your previous Priceline NYC thread with whatever you ended up doing for that trip (i'll note that you never concluded any of your other threads either: Priceline New York City, Hotwire Miami, and Hotwire Puerto Rico :( ) Please remember to follow-up your threads with your wins/decisions as you make them (even if you don't ultimately use PRICELINE / HOTWIRE, cancel the trip, book direct, etc) as this help keep the board better organized and more useful for everyone... as well as being a courtesy to anyone who took the time to help with your travel plans. Are your plans for your Las Vegas trip above firm? Are you ready to commit to a purchase at this point in time? Are you comfortable with an 'opaque' purchase for this stay? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. moesky Posted August 17, 2015 Author Report Posted August 17, 2015 I am sorry for not reporting, but have reported on the NYC trip. I am ready to book. I have booked 2 nights with points at the Palazzo and gather that the 5 star North strip area all suites hotel @ $98 per night is also the Palazzo. If you agree I am ready to book. I know it's not a guarantee but from reading other threads it seems that it is the Palazzo. i have spoken to the hotel and they told me to notify them re the 3rd party booking and that they would accommodate me rather than me checking out and them having to recheck me in. Do you think that's true? Thanks in advance for your help.
thereuare Posted August 17, 2015 Report Posted August 17, 2015 I agree that the 5* Strip north all-suite property for $98 with: Free Parking Free Internet Suite Resort Casino Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Golf Tennis Spa Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking Roll-in Shower ... best guess is the Palazzo The hotel can merge your two reservations so that you don't need to change rooms (at some hotels you may still need to go to the front desk on 'switch' day to officially check-out and check-in, but i don't think the Palazzo requires this) Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. moesky Posted August 17, 2015 Author Report Posted August 17, 2015 Thanks,I have booked the Bella suite with 2 queen beds with points for my 1st 2 nights at the Palazza. Would I need to show more than 2 adults on hotwire for the hotel to merge the reservations for the 2nd 2 nights?
AaronJB Posted August 17, 2015 Report Posted August 17, 2015 If you are more than 2 people, search for more than 2 people. Hot.wire does not guarantee room assignment/upgrades. If you search for more than 2 and book, then call the hotel and negotiate room assignment for the additional nights. They may have no problem with you staying in the same room, but there are no guarantees. If you search for more than 2 people, you may also see different results on Hot.wire than when you search for 2. Please keep us updated on what you decide and let us know if you have additional questions. thereuare Posted August 17, 2015 Report Posted August 17, 2015 I have booked the Bella suite with 2 queen beds with points for my 1st 2 nights at the Palazza. Would I need to show more than 2 adults on hotwire for the hotel to merge the reservations for the 2nd 2 nights? This would depend upon the mood of the person handing the merge of the two reservations and how much of a 'stickler' s/he wanted to be. The Palazzo (as do most higher end Las Vegas hotels) now charge more for over double occupancy and/or rooms with two beds. If your HOTWIRE reservation is for a 'standard' room, the person taking care of merging your reservations would likely either: 1) merge without any issue 2) require an additional fee 3) refuse to merge the two reservations --> i think #3 is the least likely, and hopefully the hotel would see #1 as a benefit (since they would be saving by not having to do a 'full turnover' of your first room and only a 'regular daily' cleaning), but i wouldn't be too surprised if they wanted an additional fee (to 'upgrade' to a room with two beds) Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. moesky Posted August 17, 2015 Author Report Posted August 17, 2015 I booked the 2 additional nights with the above HOTWIRE link and won the Palazzo. I ended up requesting for 3 adults to be sure. Thanks so much for your responses and help.
