seningen Posted November 4, 2005 Report Posted November 4, 2005 Let's say I want to plan a ski trip -- preferably west of the Mississippi. I also enjoythe ability to stretch my travel dollar with PriceLine.Where is PL and SkiTowns crossing paths?I'm not interested in say downtown SLC for skiing there -- I'm talking at or very near the slopes.......thanks,Mike
dahammer Posted November 4, 2005 Report Posted November 4, 2005 I have stayed in Scranton, PA at the Fairfield Inn @ $45 per night, it is right between Elk Mountain and Montage Mountain, both with 1000' vertical drops and plenty of man made snow, hard packed ice, and lots of people from Philly and NYC on weekends. :) I could understand why Scranton might not appeal to you, so if you head west, you should check out Lake Tahoe and the Reno areas of this board for great skiing, beautiful scenery, and one-armed bandits to keep you from getting enough sleep after a hard day on the slopes. :)
WillTravel Posted November 4, 2005 Report Posted November 4, 2005 Whistler is not likely to be cheap, but it is very popular with skiers.
