Neelee
I have already made several attempts at bidding in this area to no avail. I've stayed in this area before (w/o Priceline) at different hotels so I more or less know what I want. Hotel prices via Travelaxe or hotel websites for 2* $59-$80, for 1* $55-$69My dates are November 18, 2005 check in, check out November 20, 2005I've been trying for the last couple of weeks now.For 2* I have tried bids - $37, $41, $43, $45 >> all rejectedTook free rebid to 1* at - $31, $37, $39, $41 >> all rejectedNote for the above I did wait the 72 hour period - so yes, these are 4 separate failed bids.I'm not able to flex and use another zone because its 29 miles away from where I need to be and it also only has up to 2* rating (Bellingham, WA).I'm half tempted to give up and get the place I want for the price posted on the websites. It appears this area is not popular because I did not see any other posts on winning bids or assistance.Thank you in advance for the assistance!Does anyone have any suggestions? Link to comment
thereuare
Would you be happy with the 2* for $59 or the 1* for $55? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
Neelee
That's probably what I'll have to do. More than likely I'll end up booking directly with one of the hotels. That way at least I can get additional airline miles.Thank you! Link to comment
WillTravel
Many hotel chains have links through the BB support site:http://www.betterbidding.com/support.htmlIt's often pretty difficult to get a good Priceline deal in a small town, with some exceptions. The few hotels that there are know that if you don't win the bid, you'll probably have to stay there anyway, so there's less motivation to participate. Link to comment
