Cwalkin
My family of three (me, wife, and 6 year old) are traveling to Carlsbad CA to visit legoland on 6/1-6/2. I've already bid on rooms but to no avail. Can you offer any bidding assistance or advise if I should use Hotwire instead? Used priceline before, but never used Hotwire before. Here are my losing bids so far:$115 for 4-star in Escondido-Vista, Del Mar-Rancho Santa Fe, North County Coastal, Oceanside-Carlsbad Link to comment

thereuare
For your Hotwire Pismo Beach thread can you please just add the amenities that are showing when you view your purchase thru the MY ACCOUNT link at HOTWIRE's home page.In regards to your Legoland trip above, note that PRICELINE only guarantees double occupancy, after that it's at the discretion of the hotel, and you could receive a room with only one bed. While you can call the hotel you win and request a room with two beds, the hotel may not be able, or willing, to honor your request. While this area is used to accommodating families and most hotels likely have a 'good' number of rooms with more than one bed, the risk would be lower then in a large city such as NYC or Chicago where rooms are notoriously small and many hotels have a high percentage of rooms with only one bed, it would still be a risk that you'd need to accept if using PRICELINE. If this is not an acceptable risk then HOTWIRE would be a better option as they allow you to search for up to quad occupancy and ensure sleeping accommodations for everyone you include in your search (although this usually means two beds, the second 'bed' could be a sofabed, rollaway, etc)Please conclude your previous Pismo Beach thread, then based upon the occupancy issue above reply here as to which service you'd like to move forward with (PRICELINE or HOTWIRE), and we'll take it from there.Thanks.
