Have bid many times for hotel rooms using PRICELINE link above.

Do rental cars have rebidding strategies?

I have this reservation below. If I bid successfully for same parameters &

plane is, say, 2 hours late, is my starting time still 3PM if I don't pick

up until 5PM? Any other bidding vs. reservation caveats appreciated:

Delayed or Cancelled and Rescheduled Flights:

Priceline's rental car partners will hold your reservation up to 24 hours after your scheduled pick-up time if your flight is delayed or cancelled and rescheduled.

Rental days are calculated on a 24-hour clock, and that clock starts when you pick up your car. If you arrive late due to delayed or rescheduled flights, some rental car companies will extend your rental by the same amount of time. Make sure you review all of the details of your reservation, including pick-up and drop off times, when you arrive at the rental counter.

Typically if your flight is delayed by 2 hours the rental company will extend the drop-off time by 2 hours... it's usually only in extreme cases (8 hours or arriving after the car desk closes and need to pick up the following day) when the drop-off time may or may not be fully adjusted to reflect the additional time (this usually is not an issue since the large percentage of airport rentals involve the user having a return flight, and this will typically not change even with a delayed incoming flight)

There is no re-bidding strategy for car rentals, but you could if you like bid $x for an intermediate, then bid $y for a copact, then bid $z for an economy... then increase the price of each by the same factor every 24 hours.
