lee1
My wife and I want to take a a trip while our son is at camp in July. We can fly from the Rochester, Syracuse, Buffalo region. If a great deal can be had we can depart from Pittsburgh, Philadelphia or Cleveland. Our possible destinations include many Canadian cities including Vancouver, Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax, St. Johns, NFLD. US locations would include Seattle, San Diego, San Antonio. It appears that many of these trips are retailing around 300-400. The % of savings is really more important to me than the total cost. I am seeking the best $$ value. We just want to get away for a quick but cheaper than usual vacation. We are looking for airline bidding tips for such a journey. Thanks in advance. Link to comment

lowballer
Try using http://matrix.itasoftware.com/cvg/dispatch/prego with a 300-mile (or similar) radius for your departure and arrival cities. Link to comment
Aprilmay
Go to Travelocity"]Travelocity.com. Click on "Flights" at the top of the page (located beside the "Home" tab.) Scroll to the bottom of that page to the greenish/grayish box titled "Need ideas?" Click on "Dream Maps." Enter your home airport, etc, and Travelocity will show you flights within your specified price range to many different cities from your airport. I check this page all the time, looking for cheap flights to "wherever."Good luck.April Link to comment
