As expected 3.5* was the San Rafael Four Points (Sheraton)

Relevant side note: I first bid (unsuccessfully) up to $70 on 3* Priceline in San Rafael-Larkspur, which is the category for this Four Points.

Irrelevant side note: I also bid (unsuccessfully) up to $70 on 2.5* Priceline in Sausalito-Mill Valley, just because it would have been so cool to be the first person EVER to report a win in Sausalito-Mill Valley.

What Hotwire showed:

A. On the search results page where multiple (anonymous) hotels were shown, this was listed for the 3* $89 hotel that turned out to be Four Points:

No smoking, fitness center, pool, restaurant, laundry, high-speed internet (same with "See all").

Recommended in 85% of Hotwire customer reviews, Best value (but everything was marked best value)

I used the HOTWIRE link. (I tried to use the PRICELINE link too, may have gotten mixed up due to trying to use my bonus money.)

And by the way, I've stayed here before, very unmemorable hotel but I'm pretty sure I remember it not deserving more than 3*. And at least one elevator wasn't working.
