bidder123 Posted June 4, 2005 Report Posted June 4, 2005 I've tried 4 bids from 60-80 and used up all the free rebids. I assume that Wed and Thurs nights are cheaper than Fri and Sat nights? Should I be breaking this up to Wed/Thur and Fri/Sat?Judging from the recent posts...USE 4* are Omni and Hyatt Regency. Either one should be ok with me.Thanks
Blueskies Posted June 4, 2005 Report Posted June 4, 2005 When I booked my hotwire for Emabarcadero(early July) it was the weekend dates that were cheaper for this area and the week days were more expensive. I know the USE in P/l might not be exactly same as the area I was looking at just I think they at least cross over as Omni was one of the Hotwire hotels listed. Fishermans wharf seems to be more expensive at the weekend. Hope this helps.
thereuare Posted June 4, 2005 Report Posted June 4, 2005 Yes, for your stay the weekend dates should be cheaper and if you split it should be done 6/15-6/17 and 6/17-6/19.If you'd like more specific strategies for each please let us know. bidder123 Posted June 6, 2005 Author Report Posted June 6, 2005 Didn't break up the dates. Someone else bid on it and got 95 at the Marriott San Francisco Downtown.4* USEWent from 85, 90 and accepted at 95.Thanks
thereuare Posted June 6, 2005 Report Posted June 6, 2005 Glad you got what you wanted and didn't have to break up the stay.Always a tough decision as to what to do in this situation... the weekend dates likely could have been had for less than $95, but then there is a (likely) risk of changing hotels. I assume for each person the decision to split/not split would be different, based upon the savings involved and how much they consider changing hotels to be an 'inconvenience'.Thanks for the follow-up and letting us know of your success.Enjoy your stay.
