nktravel Posted April 26, 2011 Report Posted April 26, 2011 Usually most of the time I find that motel 6 is always cheaper than priceline even if it a bid. I go visit my son often and very rarely I find priceline bid cheaper than motel 6.so I do check motel 6 in the area then make a bid on that price. Once time I bid 5.00 higher and got nicer hotel room. so I guess it depend on what you need and want.what do you think ?
dahammer Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 I would say that in some PRICELINE zones where there are fewer hotel choices, there is not a big difference between 1 and 2* rack rates and accepted bids. An example of this might be the Binghamton, NY area. However, when there are a lot of hotel options in a bidding zone, I feel that I can often get 3* accommodations at less than the cost of a Motel 6.
