I'm looking for a hotel with free parking or at least less expensive parking. This one and Solamar both are nice hotels but parking costs make them less interesting.

Holiday Inn's $22/night parking charge is pretty normal for downtown San Diego, and many hotels charge more than that.

Motel 6 Downtown San Diego has free parking but that's the only place I know of that does. If you see any 2.5* or 2* listings downtown those might have a lower parking charge than HI....maybe $10-20.

For lower parking rates than Downtown (not necessarily free) look to Mission Valley, Old Town, and Point Loma areas.

Can you help me I've found 2 interesting hotels for 06/28/11 - 07/01/11

2.5* Mission Valley - Hotel Circle = $46

- Golf Nearby

75% of Hotwire reviews recommend. My guess would be Ramada but not sure. Any idea's ?

3* Mission Valley - Hotel Circle = $74

- Smoke free

- Fitness

90% of Hotwire reviews recommend and 3/5 tripadvisor. Probably Sheraton ?

I'm not currently seeing either of these properties offered when searching HOTWIRE for your dates... are you still seeing either/both of the above on your own search? If so, are you searching HOTWIRE for more than one room or for more than the default 2adults/0children?

It's changing pretty fast. Now I see this:

2.5 * Mission Valley - Hotel Circle area Hotel - $61

3* Mission Valley - Hotel Circle area Hotel - $66

The 2.5* has not yet been reported to the board, but i will add for a little bit more ($75/nite) i'm seeing the Best Western Seven Seas should that work for your needs.

The 3* matches previous reports for the Crowne Plaza so that would be my best guess for this one.

I eventually booked the 3* in Mission Valley and it was the Crowne Plaza hotel for $66.
