Priceline Hotel: Newbie asking about $99 Venetian deal

Hi Everyone:

This board seems SO helpful and informative! I have never used priceline or hotwire at all. I have learned a lot so far from reading the other/older posts.

Seems most people that get the $99 Venetian deal are getting it Sun thru-Thurs? My trip dates are those days 5/8-5/12 but looking on the site their site prices are running $149 and up for those nights.

With the price on their site being a bit higher, do you think I would have a shot at the $99 deal now or try closer to my trip?

Thanks for your help!

Welcome to BetterBidding!

With the Venetian's website at $149 you have a very good chance of getting a 5* thru Priceline for $99.

If you'd like a more detailed strategy let us know, any additional questions feel free to ask.

Good Luck.

The rates for your trip matter in what price will be accepted on PL. Only one out of four nights for your dates is $149. May 9 & 10 are $199 and May 11 is $219. This being said, you will need to bid more than $99 per night to have a successful bid on priceline. If you decide to wait until closer, the rates will probably go up further.

Thanks for the replies and advice - I had this whole thing wrong. I was not considering the average price per night at all. I was checking the lowest rate available for the timeframe we were planning on being there.

I have SO much to learn don't I?

:)

Oh well, it was fun to dream a little. My friend got an incredible rate at Imperial Palace so I think we will be staying there.

Thanks for your help though.

Kath, what is the rate at the Imperial Palace and the dates of travel? This may help others on the board looking to travel to Las Vegas....Thanks in advance!

Sure, the deal at Imperial Palace is $45 per night! We are going Sun-Thurs May 8-12.

She had this promotion mailed to her from IP. She stayed there last year.

I saw the flyer but did not see any specific promotion code to share, sorry!

I will ask her to look at the flyer for me and see if she sees any code and if so I will pass it along.

Okay, one more question since I am still learning the ropes here. After reading more posts I now understand how I should have asked for help.

I will go ahead and post what we are looking for and see if you guys have any suggestions.

I don't think you're going to beat the value of the Imperial Palace deal.

TheMonte Carlo has a great pool area and may be available for $107/nite (it's "on request" meaning that they'll get back to you in 2-3 days as to whether they can get you that rate or not), but if available it's a personal decision as to whether or not it's worth twice the price of the IP. However, at that price, i would just as soon go "all the way" and book a 5* for $135/nite or less (HOTWIRE has a 5* for $135 so i would try to beat that first via priceline and then take $135 if not successful)... but again, not sure if either are worth 2x-3x more than the Imperial Palace.

Quick question - was looking for advice or a little strategy on trying the $99 venenitian deal. (My friend has decided to let me give it a shot)

we are going 5/8-5/12 which is a Sun thru Thurs which most have been able to get

we want 2 beds though and from what I have read most who have gotten the deal have had 1 king bed.

Anyone gotten it with 2 doubles or queens?

any special way to request this?

thanks in advance!

You can request this directly with the hotel by email or when you get there. There is a large sofa bed in the rooms anyway. I know that you can pay to upgrade anyway if you need to.
