Priceline Hotel: Bidding strategy for Vancouver 4/30

I saw someone else get the Hyatt Regency for $49 last week, so I started my bid at $47, added Delta bid $50, added Langley, bid $55, and finally added Surrey and bid $60 - no luck..... will wait and try again..... thanks for any suggestions !

That's a Saturday, so a higher bid may be required. Have you looked at Hotwire to see typical prices for that date?

I did check on HOTWIRE, and there was 3.5* (which I believe to be the Crown Plaza) for $73.00 or 4* for $135

Do you want to go up in price or down in quality... or neither?

What are your thoughts on the HOTWIRE offerings?

I really dont want to stay at the Crowne Plaza, thru Hotwire, I would rather go up in price thru Priceline, thanks!

As i see you're awere you have 3 re-bid zones at the 4* level, this is how i would bid:

Select 4* and Downtown...

Bid $55, if rejected add re-bid zone1...

Bid $60, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.

Select 4* and Downtown and re-bid zone2...

Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone1...

Bid $70, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.

Select 4* and Downtown and re-bid zone3...

Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone1...

Bid $80, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.

Select 4* and Downtown and re-bid zone2 and re-bid zone3...

Bid $85, if rejected add re-bid zone1...

Bid $90.

The above will take you to your $90 maximum bid.
