swag Posted September 21, 2012 Report Posted September 21, 2012 It looks like Hotwire has a new zone in New Orleans: "Midtown".Boundaries are approximately I-10 to Canal, Broad to City Park Ave. This is an area with very few hotels; off the top of my head, I can only think of a 1* or 2* property called "Midtown Hotel New Orleans". Kayak finds 5 total, including a B&B and a hostel. I tried a few different dates and couldn't find any where that new zone is available...
BEAV Posted September 26, 2012 Report Posted September 26, 2012 Priceline has split Napa, CA into two separate zones:Napa Downtown North4* Marriott4* Silverado Resort and Spa3.5* River Terrace Inn3.5* Embassy Suites (NOTE: This is upgraded from 3* per Priceline retail product)3* Best Western Premier IvyNapa Downtown South4* Meritage Resort and Spa4* Vino Bello Resort2.5* Hawthorne Inn and Suites2* Wine Valley LodgeNote: I cannot locate the 2* Travelodge on the Napa hotel list anywhere on the Internet, including the main Travelodge website. There is a Travelodge Napa Valley, however it is in the Fairfield area, not Napa proper.

Gallus50 Posted November 21, 2012 Report Posted November 21, 2012 Also Crowne Plaza SFO International Airport upgraded from 3* to 3.5* in SFO-Burlingame zone. I was the unlucky bidder who discovered this while trying to avoid that exact hotel and not bidding down at 3*. : (

McMick Posted January 1, 2013 Report Posted January 1, 2013 Cleveland Downtown upgrades:1. The former 3.5 star Crowne Plaza, being remodeled into a 4 star Westin, is now scheduled to open Spring 2014.2. The Embassy Suites is now closed, being converted (back) into apartments. The building was built as an apartment building in the late 1960s, and a portion of it was converted to a hotel in the late 1990s. There is such a huge demand for apartments in Downtown Cleveland now--running a 98% occupancy rate--that it makes economic sense for the owner to return the use of the 240 suites to rental apartments.Kindly update the Hotwire section too, please.
