I needed to book four rooms for us and other family members for a wedding in Kansas City and needed to target the Holiday Inn at the Plaza (hence I decided to go with Hotwire) This property does not appear on the Hotwire Hotel List - Missouri, but doing a package search for our dates the results yielded the 3* Holiday Inn at the Plaza and showed these amenities: Restaurant(s), Pool(s), Fitness Center, Tennis Nearby. I then went back to Hotwire hotels and searched the Country Club Plaza area for a 3* property and found one with the same amenities at $59 a night, was pretty confident it was the Holiday Inn. I went ahead and booked four rooms for two nights and received the Holiday Inn at the Plaza. Great rate, as this hotel goes for $107 direct through ICH Hotels and it is where we wanted to be! The 241 room hotel just completed (Fall 2005) a multi-million dollar renovation. The hotel provides free Wi-Fi, free garage parking (all other Plaza hotels charge), free local and long distance calls, and free shuttle service within a 2 mile radius, including Westport. Description: Located on the historic Country Club Plaza--a charming area of the city where guests can enjoy over 150 shops and restaurants--this hotel offers 241 well-appointed guest rooms. On-site, the fitness room and outdoor pool are great places to unwind, and world-class cuisine is served at the Main Street Cafe. A courtesy shuttle service is available for a two-mile radius. I disagree with the previous poster's review, this property is just fine, pool and all. Hotel is in a convenient location, while not really that close to the airport it was easy to find and within close proximity to restaurants, etc. Check in was a breeze, no mention of Priceline and we were able to get the non-smoking room we requested. I am a ICH priority club member and while I won't earn points for this stay it did get me 15% off at the Green Mill restaurant located in the hotel and a free drink to boot. Also, my eight year old son ate for free as the case is at most Holiday Inns. The food was very good and the service was excellent. We found the pool area just fine, the pool was a nice temperature and I didn't think it was that small (perfect for us) The room was good size with two queen beds and we also had a view of the atrium (didn't really notice the noise that much) Bathroom was also good size and although the room showed a tad bit of wear, overall it was pretty decent. The hotel has free wi-fi which was another plus! I have no complaints at all and at a rate of $32 it was an especially good deal! It would stay here again, this property is usually easy to get when bidding for 2.5* in this area (mid $30 range) Forgot to mention, they do have a shuttle service to/from the Airport 24 hours a day and also to/from the Mall of America 10:00 am to 9:00 pm (you have to sign up for this ahead of time) For an inexpensive night away from home, this did the trick! Starting at $30 and not wanting to spend more than $35, I tried these zones for a 3* hotel - Downtown Minneapolis, Eagan, Airport/MOA and Minneapolis Southwest with no luck. I then tried the Eagan zone (starting again at $30) for 2.5* looking to get the Hampton Inn, all 4 bids failed up to $35 (2 free re-bids and Mpls Downtown zone added) I started over again and bid $30 for a 2.5* in the Airport/MOA zone and received a counteroffer to add $8, I declined. I then started a new bid for 2.5* at $32 in the Airport/MOA zone, adding the Fridley zone (free re-bid) which was accepted and as I expected received the Holiday Inn Bloomington Airport - 1201 West 94th Street Bloomington, Minnesota 55431 I am happy with the result, direct rate through ICH is $98.10, making this a very good deal! This will be our first stay at this location, I have heard mostly good things about this property. I think it is most likely The Westin Los Angeles Airport Hotel features: Airport Shuttle, Restaurant(s), Fitness Center, Business Center, Laundry Facilities Found this information doing a package search for your dates, this also matches the information in Hotwire Hotel List which also shows a pool renovation through May 2005, but this amenity was not listed but shown under "additional amenities" when looking at hotel information. I assume the renovation was completed, but they no longer show the pool icon.

Rockford has just one area to bid in starting at 2.5*, so this took more than one try to score something. Decided to make a trip up to the cities, just in case we have last minute Christmas shopping. I decided to book early (other people may have the same idea) and get something near the MOA.
