  1. The link below will lead you to the reviews which I accessed via the NY map. Hotel Reviews I have stayed there (not a Priceline bid) and it was a very nice hotel and I would be pleased(no - delighted!) to get it on a PL bid.
  2. Are you travelling with Children? I can see it when I add in kids but not when it is a room for two. Showing at just over $100 for me. Click on Customer Favourite and scroll down to read the comments. They tend to change the comments around.
  3. Do you have a cancellable back up and what is you maximum bid?
  4. From Hotwire Hotel list - 2 alternatives but don't think Nikko is a customer favourite (but could be wrong). Sometimes helpful to read the guest comments to give you a clue. 4* Hilton San Francisco and Towers Customer Favorite Amenities: Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Business (as of 7/7/05, Pool icon not shown... don't know if temporary or not, when not showns same as Pan Pacific) (with Pool, same as Hotel Nikko) 4* Hotel Nikko San Francisco Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Business Hope this helps
  5. Is this the Doubletree out at the airport? You only see one offering in Hotwire per star level so the offer changes as the availability and pricing fluctuates. There is availability at the hotel but it may not show up on Hotwire or Priceline as a win if it does not meet certain criteria. Are you only interested in this one hotel? You can book it (as a back up) through the travel links on the right of the Betterbidding page by clicking on Doubletree. With Hotwire it is sometimes worth changing the number of persons sharing the room and trying at different times of day/week as it can change. Good luck
  6. Your assumption is wrong. You cannot match up the opaque and transparent. Hilton Scotts Valley is a good hotel too (in fact rated higher on Tripadvisor). Good luck Blueskies
  7. I believe the Hilton also used to come up but it was over a year ago I researched/bid on this zone. Ultimately we changed our plans and did not stay there. Reviews were very good there too.
  8. Another option you may want to consider is the Beacon Hotel, which is on 75th and is rated highly on Tripadvisor. You can book directly on their website for $210 (can't find it on any of the BB support links) and it is certainly a lot nearer than the other options. The Lucerne is another Upper Westside option (79th)that gets good reviews or on the Ave Hotel (77th) - both available through the Betterbidding Hotels.com link. Hope this helps Blueskies
  9. ok - $307 and no internet icon showing even when you go into the detail.
  10. I am getting MTC $178 for 4* Customer favorite (rest, fitness,spa,i/net and business icons) Only 1 over $200 is 4* Times Square.
  11. Welcome to the Board. I would suggest you have a read through the Priceline General Tips to understand how it works. HOW DOES PRICELINE WORK Once you decide if you want to proceed then let us know. Good luck whatever you decide to do. Blueskies
  12. Thanks. Thought I'd better clear that point up quickly!
  13. Does using the Betterchecker automatically give credit to the Board? or do we need to re-enter?
  14. Funny enough we checked out last year on the date you arrive this year. I would say that is a good rate for knowing you have that hotel (which hopefully it will be). Remember to take a sweater with you if you have never been there. It is foggy in SF and can seem quite cold especially if you take a boat trip. We liked the area and the hotel as we wanted to be away from the tourist area of the wharf. Let us know how it goes. Blueskies
  15. We stayed there last year (July) and liked it. We paid a similar price via Hotwire and were really happy with the hotel. Have a look at the reviews which you can access via the SF map or through the hotel reviews heading. When are you going?
  16. Have you looked at the Hotwire Hotel list for Chicago? Hotwire Hotel List This will help you identify the hotels you want to target. I think it is a boutique you are looking for.
  17. I second Bobby Van's. They do a great seafood platter starter too. A bit expensive but worth it if you want a night to remember. The service was excellent too. We had a large group with kids and thy treated us all very well. For a short trip I would recommend going up to West Point and taking in the view across the Hudson. We have done this a few times and it is amazing especially in the fall. I think you can still get in to look around but there is a lot of security now there. They hold outdoor events there in the summer too, I believe. You could combine this with a stop at Woodbury Commons to do some outlet shopping.
  18. Don't worry, Louisd. You can ease your conscience with a Paypal donation. You will find a link at the top right of the page.
  19. I ask because the Le Meridien at Gatwick Airport, London came up before it became Sofitel and I have seen other Le Meridiens come up too. I understand your reasoning for thinking it is not that one though.
  20. Lionking See post 3 above. I would suggest you start a new thread as this one is for Yguns win. Thanks
  21. Could it not be that property Ex Park Hyatt now Le Meridien? Or do they not participate in Priceline?
  22. Flyconcorde, Glad you got something sorted. Are you going to see the A-380? Blueskies
