  1. I guess 100-105$ should do it.. but well, you never know... - but as you're not in a rush, so you still have some tries to figure out...
  2. Check out the Priceline Hotel List for other countries for reported hotels for Rome. You can search the board for Rome bids here
  3. Yepp, but I stayed at the Cosmopolitan (4star) part, not the Cosmo-part (3star) of the hotel, and that room measured more then 20sqm. The next MRT station is Causeway bay. The happy valley horse racing course is just opposite of the hotel.
  4. Yepp, but I wouldn't try 4star for Orchard road.. too risky (Elizabeth hotel, Meridien)
  5. Great deal - looking at the official rates!
  6. Maybe you might assume a 4-star hotel in Marina Bay zone as well... the Swissotel is excellent, and if the Mandarin Marina comes up.. you could be lucky as well. Just prevent Orchard road and other zones for 4-star. Well, your budget doesn't allow a lot of advices for 5star as you will probably not get any 5-star in Singapore for below 80-90$ bid (what came up for Orchard road zone and Marina Bay zone as 5stars)... just try if it works out or not...
  7. Well, not too bad anyway, but quite pricey, indeed. As SPG Plat they will give you a Club Room for sure or even a suite. As Gold, I wouldn't expect much more than a Std Room on SPG Floor. Have a nice stay.
  8. Mmh... a little bit tricky as it's one night during the week (Thursday) and one during the weekend (Fri/Sat). The Renaissance Brussels has an official rate of 85 Euro for the Friday/Sat night, while the Marriott shows only the "Presidential Suite La Bourse" for 469 Euro per night as available for that night (while Thu/Fri also Std rooms available for 169 Euro). The Crowne Plazas don't show rates of below 100 Euro, the Sheraton at 179..... so I assume you'll have to bid a little bit higher. Not sure about the Courtyard.. maybe a 3 star in Priceline (but any other hotel could show up in that category too.. maybe the Novotel too...). Not sure, if you want to split that 2-nights-stay... but you could start with both nights.. hard to recommend any offer... I'd probably go to PL Asia and just walk my way ahead in 5SG$-steps.. as it's quite short before the check-in-date. Or you can start with maybe 60-70$ on PL US and later ...
  9. That's interesting... seems the Cosmopolitan Hotel has an attached part with cheaper rooms called Cosmo... which make it a 3-star in PL... ... - The rooms even seem to look nicer according to the website than the Cosmopolitan's ones.. with plasma TVs in every room.. though the Std Room measures only 15sqm. But well, might be a good deal for that price.
  10. Thats interesting, I always thought the Interconti would be participating in PL too. As it's very close to the Meridien Park Hotel, I assume it's in the Frankfurt (East)-zone of Priceline, yeah? The Marriott doesn't have availability for standard rooms for your dates, so that's clear why it didn't show up while the Meridien Park shows rates of 160 Euro for standard room. Thanks for the new hotel for the list (to speak - unauthorized - for thereuare :) ).
  11. Hmm.. the JW too for 132US$... so I wonder why you got that Priceline-message.. maybe the hotels just haven't released room yet for PL.. I would try maybe up to 85$ and if still rejected, make a back-up reservation somewhere and try again later.
  12. Hard to say.. we've seen succesful 5star bidding for Bkk usually only for Sukhumvit area lately. The Shangri La in Riverside has apparently not shown up anymore for quite some time. Did you check the rates for the common Suk-5-star hotels (JW, Westin, SGS) for your period? Do they have availability for the dates you want? Is there a rate change within the period? What dates are you currently looking for?
  13. I know this kind of message only from Priceline HK/SG, never got it for Bangkok but for other non-common places in Asia (Langkawi, Kota Kinabalu); I always assumed it meant that they (PL) don't have any inventory currently for that place (+class?) at that time.. but not sure.
  14. Holiday Inn Silom shows "no availability" for your dates according to www.ichotelsgroup.com. (Lucky you! - Would be well worth to go higher for 4star Riverside-Silom now.. just in case the Marriott Resort is still participating...); the Ramada Tawana (3star in RS) usually goes for higher rates than the Holiday Inn, according to my experience. Probably you have to go up to 55-60 US$ offer if you want the Ramada (but I assume there are better deals on alternative sites for the Ramada). The prices for the standard room at JW Marriott seem a little bit higher than usual (160US$), so I assume you will have to go higher than 85$ in Priceline for that. I don't know about 4stars in Siam or Sukhumvit...you usually can get this category of hotels cheaper by alternative booking sites, wouldn't recommend that on Priceline. 5star in Siam (IC) is usually harder to get than 5star in Sukhumvit... Shangri-La hasn't shown up often anymore on Priceline as 5star Riverside/Silom... (or became more expensive). Good luck.
  15. I can second that. I am actually working not far from the Renaissance, and it's really a good and easy connection towards Paris city center (RER and metro) and also to the castle of Versailles (by train). Also the other possible 4star hotels (probably the two Sofitels) are not far from metro / RER and offer good quality.
  16. Seems I figured out at least the 4-star in Frankfurt North/East, which appears for almost every date, several times marked as "best value"; seems to be the Relexa Hotel.
  17. Most of the Choice hotels in Paris (comfort) do indeed have self-service laundries in their houses (coin operated washers). See b. ex.http://www.choicehotels.com/hotel/FR263 - under "hotel services" it says "guest laundry".
  18. The Munich Airport Marriott is not in Munich but in a city called Freising, about 20 km from Munich. It's not really near the airport, but around 8 km from the airport. They offer a shuttle service (against a fee; but I didn't use it because I had a car) to/from the airport. Quite some air crews seem to stay there too. It's near the regional hospital of Freising, so not really in the city centre of Freising, but as it's not a big city, easy to get everywhere there. I don't know how long it takes to walk to the station (which offers connections by train and by "S-Bahn" to Munich city centre) but I saw how the front desk staff showed the way to some other guests using a map. Seems to be around 15 minutes walk to the station The hotel looks quite new, a modern building with a lot of glass. The lobby is the typical Marriott style of this region (looks similar to the Munich Marriott's lobby) and quite large. Check-In was very friendly and fast (no PL mention). I asked for a late check-out and got it without any problems. 5 minutes after I got into my room, the telephone was ringing and the front desk was asking if I was happy with the room and if I had any further wishes... a nice gesture. The room was a little bit small but still ok and comfortable. Usual Marriott style as well, with a comfortable chair. TV had a lot of channels, for 4 Euros per stay you could get access to Germany's "premiere" Pay-TV system (3 channels of that); 15 Euros for the usual other Pay-TV channels. They have the new Marriott Sweet Sleeper bed which was really really great. I noted "foam pillows" in the wishlist (marriott.com) for my reservation and found foam pillows in the room when I checked in, nice. I was surprised not to find a coffee/-teakmaker in the room, and steam iron neither. But well, ok, no problem. I ordered room service food (club sandwitch), which was tasty and a huge portion. Service nice there too. The hotel has a garage (for fee) and some outside parking spaces (against charge too, but little bit cheaper). But well, you can find free parking usually in the neigbourhood too. All over, I can recommend this hotel really - it's jut not an airport hotel which is on the airport premises, but a little bit away; and it's not a Munich city hotel. But if you want to do a little stopover here, it's no problem to get into Munich using the train. Photos

  22. Well, we have 37 pages for Priceline-reports / other countries now.. might be useful now to create some subfolders by regions or countries there? Probably some work involved with that, I see, but would make navigation there much more easier, I think...
  23. Yepp, I saw this note...well, we'll see, maybe I just give it a try.. as soon as my dates are fixed
  24. Yes, I did, but it's not really helpful, as HRS is listing the hotels according to German stars classifaction, so there are a lot of 5stars.. the Marriott, the Interconti, the Hilton etc. - all are 5 stars.. But I think the 5 star will be the "Hessischer Hof" - which appeared in Priceline as 5 star already as well. It's a Leading Hotel. - ah no no, probably not because I think it doesn't have a pool... mysterious!
