  1. Hi. I know that you've already booked rooms for your trip, but may I suggest you check out the Hotel Santa Barbara? It's right on State Street near the great shopping and nightlife. I've stayed there with my kids and found it spacious for the four of us and very nice. We walked everywhere. My husband and I are going to see Rod Stewart in March with another couple and we'll stay there again. Hope this helps. Enjoy your time there!
  2. Just reserved a room for a friend (I could do this for a living) at the Sheraton SF Airport for $35. I bid once for a 3* at SFO and USE. Am I getting smart or what?
  3. Was trying to get the Airport Hyatt in Burlingame, but this will work. We've stayed at the Crowne Plaza before and it was nice. TripAdvisor gives it great reviews.
  4. This is the room for our friend and he is thrilled. He's attending a wedding in Burlingame and the bride reserved a block of rooms at the Hyatt for $89 each. She (and her father) are not pleased!
  5. Hi. A friend has asked me to make a priceline reservation for him. I don't have his credit card #. Will PL accept a reservation in his name with my credit card? Thanks!
  6. Hi again! I'm looking at a 3.5* Disneyland North. The amenities are restaurant, pool, fitness, business and laundry. The dates are October 29 thru the 31st Thanks!
  7. Last night I attended a wedding in Modesto. I booked 2 rooms thru Priceline at the Red Lion. (3* $44) Ihad read several bad reviews of RL on TripAdvisor.com. This place was way beyond bad. It was disgusting. Pictures on their website are completely inaccurate. The carpets are worn and filthy, the beds are hard, the bathroom floor was dirty, the toilet seat was pitted, the a/c didn't work worth a darn and was very noisy. I could go on but you get the picture. HOWEVER, I complained to Priceline and they went to bat for me. They spoke with the hotel mgr and asked for a refund. Since I didn't complain while I was there, they couldn't refund my money. Priceline issued a $10 credit for my next purchase. I was very impressed. I only wanted them to know that the Red Lion is not a "3* upscale" hotel.
  8. I really wished I had remembered my digital camera. I would have like to have it for the wedding also. Next time I won't leave home without it. I'll post over in the review section also. I noticed that someone else booked a room at the RL. Poor guy, I wish I could have saved him the heartache.

  10. Oh, thank you. I thought I was losing my mind. I do have Norton and had no idea about this blocking. I did get your email. Thanks for that also. BTW, what is so horrible about the Sheraton that shows up as 4* in Burlingame (sfo)? We are staying in Bgame for Thanksgiving as we always do. We usually get the Hyatt or Doubletree thru Hotwire and they are both fine. Thanks again.
  11. I'm apologize for being a pest, but I can't find the Entertainment Book from your link. Does Amazon carry it? I couldn't find it on their website either. Thanks for your time!
  12. Hi there. Where can I find the link to purchase the Entertainment Books? I've looked everywhere on this site (I think) and I can't seem to find it. I know it's probably right under my nose! Thanks.
  13. Hi. Thanks for your help. The Radisson is in Stockton and that's too far away. I was comparing the Red Lion with the Doubletree. Courtyard doesn't seem to have a pool. I hadn't considered Priceline, because I'm afraid that I'll end up with the dreaded Red Lion. What's a girl to do? Think I'll just book the Doubletree for $89 (yikes) rather than get stuck with something that I hate. Thanks again for all your help. Again, I'm loving this site!
  14. Hi. I'm looking at a 3* in Modesto on Sept. 10. The amenities are restaurant, pool, fitness center, business and laundry facility. I'm thinking this may be the Doubletree or the Red Lion. Hopefully not the latter as it has terrible reviews @ Tripadvisor. Thanks for any help. BTW, I love this site and have recommended it to friends and family.
