WOW! Another great find! An older Marriott but the room are comfortable, clean with very soft beds. The view of the In-land waterway is marvelous. Plus, coupons for FREE Buffet Breakfast ($15), appetizers & drink ($16). :)

Adding a name to the room reservation is a much better idea than going back to Priceline for relief! It has worked for us before! :)

I know the MCO airport area well and have had great luck in the past getting several times nice 2* hotels between $22-$28. But I have tried thru $29 with no luck for 19 Aug 04. Do you think it is just too early and I should wait til late June or July? Tks! :)

Yes, they do but can that reservation with Valuetrip be before making the HW reservation? The "Within 48 hours of booking" on the DD page disturbs me. Hope I explained it.

I am a little confused about the details of this Double the Difference Guarantee. The website that indicates the lower rate than Hotwire is Valuetrips. But one must place an online reservation to verify if that rate is available on Valuetrips. Hence the rub. DD says if one finds a lower price within 48 hrs. Help and clarification would be appreciated. This double the difference is significant! :)

Just spoke with the manager of this DoubleTree about the 1 bed issue and he stated that it is now a standard practice throughout all Hilton properties to only give Priceline customers 1 bed for 2 folks. He went on to say that some Hilton properties allow a change to 2 beds for a price--$25/nite or so. :)

Sorry to hear about that! So what did you do for the 6 nites stay? I am presently staying at the DT Suites in Tampa and they too only give Priceliners 1 king bed (2 bed suites will cost an additional $25) unless one is a Hilton Gold member. Stay here! These folks are into true customer service--FREE cooked to order breakfast and evening drinks! :)

Please explain the "even had a Priceline upgrade form preprinted at checkin". I just don't follow-Priceline upgrade form! Thanks! :)
